Less than 2-mile drive to Main Street and a one-mile walk via the beautiful Kelsey Trail. This updated mountain retreat features a cook-friendly kitchen and table that easily seats 10. Sky Light has a screened-in back porch that spans the back of the house. Take the back stairs down to our private creek and fire pit. Comfortable for a large family or group of friends.

We really enjoyed our time at Sky Light! The location was great and close to everything, and the house itself was better than what we were expecting. As someone traveling with small children who needed naps, we so appreciated the blackout curtains in the primary. Would happily stay here again!

This house was amazing! Clean, close to town and exactly as described. I appreciated that the house had clean bath soap, shampoo and conditioner in all bathrooms as well as toilet paper and paper towels. They also provided wood for the fire pit. The owner was wonderful to work with. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone!!!

Everything was perect. The host provided everything a person would need. The kitched and bedrooms were well-stocked with all the little things you might forget. Even coffee pods and cooking oil, foil and baggies, towels and sheets, blankets and throws. I cannot say enough nice things. I would love to come back in September.

The house and grounds were in excellent condition. Yard crew showed up and cleaned off walkways while we were there. Kitchen was fully stocked and had all the utensils you would need. . Rooms and beds were comfort able. The back porch was a good spot to hang out and just chill.

The reality is better than pictures!

Our family very much enjoyed our time at Sky Light! The reality was better than the pictures which is almost never the case. We were 8 people: my husband, my mother, 5 kids and myself. Our children loved the double bunk bed room. The loft upstairs was helpful for our big kids to read and play while the littles napped downstairs. We were absolutely enchanted with the fire pit / creek area. The sunrises and sunsets on the front porch overlooking the mountains each day were amazing. Having the Kelsey Trail so close by was convenient and its proximity to downtown Highlands and Cashiers was great. We highly recommend Sky Light to your family and friends.

Christmas in the Highlands

Sky Light was as advertised and more...was more beautiful than the pictures on the website. Every one in our party (ages 18-83) had a wonderful time and thought the house and location was great. Was the perfect size for our party of 9. Knew it was going to be special when we arrived and there was a Christmas tree to put our presents under!

Fabulous House in Highlands

This house was amazing! Six of us stayed there, and there was plenty of room. Everything was so nice. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the location was perfect! Since it is the week before Christmas, we thought about bringing a small tree to make the stay more festive. We were thrilled to see the huge tree they had decorated and lit up for us when we checked in. I highly recommend this property!

60th Birthday Gathering of Girlfriends

Sky Light was a beautiful house with wonderful views of the sunset. The house is much prettier than the pictures. Great gathering space for our group of 7. Screened in porch was great for morning coffee and games. Firepit area is down about 40 steps but is like stepping into a woodland fairyland! Wonderful house to celebrate the year of our 60th birthdays! Hope to return soon. Highly recommend!!
