We had a warm and friendly welcome, the food was excellent, the service excellent, friendly and super helpful both evening and at breakfast. The staff are certainly the stars of the show.
The room was clean along with a generous bathroom. We found the mattress uncomfortable but may have been heaven to others. Yes, the property is a little dated but suited our needs. The location was convenient on the A68 in a quiet village peaceful setting next to a pretty river.
This pub was also very dog friendly, dogs allowed in bar for mealtimes, with lots of wee walks around to keep the pups happy. It was great value for money, this was my second stay and would go back again, it’s a great half way B & B to Aberdeen.
