Tranditional stone House (built in 1901)

Our place is build in the area of the Village Agios Mironas near iraklion (28km) in the Island of Creta. The village is a very nice place where you can find almost everything to shop, have a coffee place and relax in a traditional tavern. The level is 800m above the sea so the air is always fresh and clear !! There is many beutiful places you can visit around , take a walk or do mountain bike.
Renovated old house of 1901, built according to traditional architecture, the accommodation overlooks the surrounding mountains. BBQ facilities and free Wi-Fi are also available. In the courtyard you will find a superb swimming pool to cool the hot summer days. If you prefer swiming to the sea you can choose between wonderfull beaches Ammoudara, Ag.Pelagia, Palaiokastro where you can arrrive in 20 min. by car. You can either have your lunch / dinner in traditional taverns in the village (2min from the house by car) or cook you own meal in the kitchen or make barbeque in the gerden. Meanwhile the food preparation you can enjoy fresh cold draft beer. If there are children with you they will have lots of fun in the pool and enjoy many facilities in the garden. When the night comes you can either visit bars or restaurants in Ammoudara or Ag.Pelagia (touristic areas) or enjoy the night view by the pool.
Our place is simple but full equipped with everything you need for a confort staying. A nice barbaque in the Yard with LPG or Wood fire selection. Inside the house there is a nice kitchen with everything you need for cook and serve your lovely people. A beutiful bathroom decorated simple with wood and glass will give you all the confort you need. To the upper floor there is a double bed with space around for your stuff and enought room to put two more single beds. Mountain bikes is alawys available for you free of charge. My partner George is organizing daily Jeep Safari around the Island and this is an amazing trip, ask us about it.
Our visitors will have all the help they need from us , there is possibility for transfer from the airport (and back) with your car or with ours , some map and books for the area of the house and of course plenty of our traditional cretan hospitality will be offered to you (always for free). My name is Yiannis and you call me like this from our first descusion. My helper Giorgos is always there for communicate with you as he is extert about computers e.t.c.
You may order and assist in the preparation of a succulent dinner with a selection of the best cretan wines, our own raki and some home made liqueurs –a preorder of 2 days is required, to find the proper ingredients–. If you give us enough time it will be probable to offer a selection of meat or fish with freshly collected in the wild vegetables, depending on the season and weather. And all this at very competitive prices!

The bus stop is just 100 meters from the house. In the village you can go by walking and you can easily find a taxi.
