Willkommen Haus is The Welcome House in German! Just minutes from downtown Alpine Helen, it is the perfect gathering place for friends and family visiting the North Georgia Mountains. The rocking chair front porch welcomes guests to sit and enjoy the wooded view and listen to the sound of nature.
Enter Willkommen Haus to the warmth of the vaulted knotty pine ceiling. Lots of windows make this open living room, kitchen and dining area the perfect place to bask in the natural light of day. The living room features a 65" flat screen television. Perfect size for game day! There is also a ceiling fan in this room. Please note that the fireplace is non-functional and only ornamental.
The kitchen is well equipped with a 4-door refrigerator that includes a water and ice dispenser, a beautiful large gas stove top and oven, and a stainless steel lined dishwasher. The cabinets and drawers are filled with dinnerware, glassware, cookware and all the utensils you will need. The small appliances include a standard drip coffee maker, toaster, blender and a crock pot. There are plenty of pots and pans, as well as casserole dishes to create a vacation meal to talk about. The long kitchen bar has room for 4 people, while the dining area table has room for 6. The dining area is highlighted with a chandelier and Edison or filament light bulbs.
Just outside the back door is an outdoor living space with a sofa, chairs and an outdoor firepit. There is a gas grill for those days when a barbeque is in order and a table for al fresco dining with room for six guests. Just beyond the back patio and deck is hole #15 of the golf course! Check with The Valhalla Resort and Golf Club for tee times and fees. Don't miss the spectacular views from any of the resort restaurants, too. On the main floor, just beyond the kitchen is a laundry room with a washer and a dryer, iron and ironing board.
The master king bedroom is also located on the main floor. In this room is also a dresser and chest of drawers, a ceiling fan, as well as a small television. There is even a small desk for those who just can't stop working while on vacation! The ensuite bathroom has a lovely jetted garden tub and a modern walk-in shower.
All bedrooms on the main floor, upstairs and downstairs feature Berber carpet, while the rest of the house is hardwood flooring, polished to a beautiful shine. Each bedroom also has a ceiling fan and its very own television. They are all Smart TVs with streaming channels. Choose from one of the many free channels, or bring your subscription information to sign-in to your favorite shows, games and movies. Just don't forget to log out of your subscriptions before your departure.
Upstairs is where a queen bedroom and twin bedroom are found. There is a shared bathroom with a shower/tub combination, too. Being on the front of the house, the downstairs queen bedroom receives lots of natural light. This room has a big screen television and an oversized bathroom with a shower/tub combination.
• Minimum Age Requirement: Willkommen Haus is a Luxury Property and is available to families or to guests 25 years or older.
• Parking: Space is available for 3 vehicles. (2 at the very top and 1 on the steep driveway) Trailers and RV's are not allowed. The garage is not available for parking.
• Access: The roads are paved all the way to the property. The driveway is on a steep incline.
• Pets: Pets are not allowed at Willkommen Haus.
• Location: 2 miles to downtown Helen.
