The room was just below average. There was hair in the shower when we first got in the room, the paint was peeling off the ceiling, the carpet was filthy. It was just dingy and kind of gross. However, the breakfast selection was great and the staff was wonderful. It really comes down to coorporate managment and being satisfied with below average maintaince. The staff is doing all they can do.

The free parking was great; however, that is all I can really say that is "good" about this place. The room had mold around the window, there were spiders in the room (including one in my bed that I found the next morning), and it was very dusty. Upon telling the person at the front desk, I got a flippant "it happens" response. Yes, bugs happen but NOT in the bed! I usually don't leave reviews but I want to warn people to use caution before booking this hotel.

The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and inviting. Wonderful breakfast. Love that they have a heated pool and an exercise machine. I absolutely would recommend this hotel.

We had a mixed experience. We were asked to wait until 4:00 pm for check-in and then waited an additional 45 minutes for our room. The hotel feels old, including the TV. There were hairs in the shower, and the sofa bed was very worn out and uncomfortable. The front desk staff was not very friendly. On the positive side, the location is excellent, and the lady who serves breakfast is very kind and cheerful.

The front desk staff were knowledgeable and nice. The room however need a good scrubbing and updates. The walls & doors of our room were filthy and there was food left in our refrigerator. The room was also on the side of the indoor pool with an over powering chlorine scent inside that was only okay when it covered the smell from our in-room fridge with the former tenants food. The a/c & heating wall unit was very temperamental and was on a crisp 60* cool upon arrival. The only items that were replinished during our days at the breakfast buffet were the items in the heating dishes. I was able to get an attendant to provide more waffle batter. The location is convenient to downtown Helen and quiet.

The room was fine. It was clean and quiet. There are no USB ports in the room so that really need to be updated for this day and age. The breakfast was good and the woman working there is very dedicated to her job!!! There was a piece of metal protruding from one the beds that brused my husband's leg.
