Beautiful location. Our room needed a refresh and a deep cleaning. Loads of dust in the vents and the tub and surround was very old. The hot tub was also closed.

My wife stayed at this property many times over the years. This time was probably a mistake. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and she desired the North Georgia Mountains. The first night after dinner we decided to have a cocktail. I waited 20 minutes in line at the lobby bar only to have a party of 3 to show up and immediately get their drink orders at the dismay of others standing in line. The rooms were not maintained and engineering was requested to clear out the drain in the shower of hair so water would drain. The surround around the shower was coming apart and the sink faucet handle and toilet were loose. We asked several times to have the fireplace lit and waited over an hour the first night before retiring, it was not lit that night. The second night took several requests for Adirondack logs before they finally added wood to the fire. The fire place is the focal point of the main room. Finally the room service left a note they ran out of towels and would return later to replinish the room. They never returned. Such a shame given the level and service and care for the property in the past.

We always enjoy staying at the Brasstown Valley Resort. The accommodations are very comfortable and the staff is courteous. Special shout out to their great bartender, Brian, in Brassies lounge.

Not a happy birthday

We booked 2 nights in a king balcony room. They tried to put us in a dark, dank basement type room and when I asked to move the front desk lady just said sorry we’re completely booked. I pulled up an app and found a king balcony room and showed it to her, and she said well ok but you can only stay tonight- we’re booked tomorrow. I showed them my reservation for 2 nights and they said sorry - 4 weddings this weekend. I asked why they accepted my reservation if they didn’t have the room available and they told me I shouldn’t have booked through a third party (hotels.com) Then they said I couldn’t have booked a balcony room because you can only book a standard room on the app (not true). So we checked in Friday, on my birthday, and were told to leave Saturday. There was no trying to figure out a solution; no helping us find a room at another hotel; no apologies. At check out Saturday morning, they tried to charge us more than the rate we were quoted. I showed them my reservation, my detailed receipt, and they kept acting as if I was trying to pull a fast one. I had everything documented. They repeatedly implied it was our own fault for not booking directly with the hotel. My birthday trip was awful.

I specifically spent 300$+ dollars for a night to enjoy the fireplace with my sister since she’s never had that northern experience. Well, we arrived and the fireplace would not light. I called it in and was told the engineer would come by. However the whole night, and after until we checked out, no engineer came. The room is overpriced and made to look better in the pictures. However, at the very least if someone is going to pay for “a cozy fireplace stay” atleast deliver what you’re charging for. Heavily disappointed, would’ve thought to come back for the sake of the beds and maybe the location, but this was just so frustrating I think I’d rather go somewhere else and would advise similarly. Spending this much for a night should at least be worth the stay.

We loved this property. Beautiful scenic views everywhere we walked. We didn't have time to take advantage of any of the wonderful amenities other than the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The staff was very friendly and polite. The food was great! The food was much better than expected having been a restaurant professional. I would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a beautiful resort in this area.
