Needed a place to stay one night in Clayton and was pleasantly surprised. Pros - located on main road, well-lit parking next to building, easy check in/out, security door to enter building - all rooms open to interior hallway, only approx 30 rooms, quiet, room clean, bathroom clean, interior walls well kept and painted, beds comfortable(soft) and linens clean. Air/heat unit worked fine. Did not see any signs of pests! Cons- rooms bordering parking lot headlights may shine in window but thick curtains blocked most light, early morning may hear vehicles being cranked and people slamming exterior security door, bath towels are standard over used but adequate, bathroom clean but mirror has smears and dust on top of toilet tank. breakfast is honey bun, muffin, coffee and tang. Safe environment and two encounters with staff pleasant and helpful. Will stay here again if in the area.

Good value for lower priced motel. The cold breakfast was minimal but overall the unit was comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, it’s just a facility that’s been around for a long time.

Overall the stay was pleasant. They are renovating certain parts of the building. We were placed in a room on the 2nd floor snd there’s no elevator. If someone is unable to take the stairs, make note of that so that a room on the 1st floor is provided. There is a ramp leading to the door where guest rooms are located. Gentleman at the front desk was friendly. State parks, Markets are not far. We also attended a wedding in South Carolina and it was only a 30 minute drive. The price point is fair for the quality and standard accommodations.

Had a late check-in and the manager was very accommodating and friendly. Room is nothing fancy, but clean - which was just fine. Hotel is centrally located to get to state parks and Helen for events.
