Good clean room with adequate furniture and bedding. Great breakfast and had two good dinners whilst we were there. Staff very polite and helpful. All in all a very pleasant stay and would certainly use again.

Really enjoyed our stay, don’t understand some of the negative reviews. It’s a lovely traditional pub, the food was very nice and the rooms were clean and felt recently redone. The only issue we had was the WiFi wasn’t great working on the telly, so the second night we struggled to stream anything. A WiFi booster / extender might solve this issue? Highly recommend visiting the falls behind the pub (they are separate to the inn and you have to pay a small fee). Also Hawes is a lovely 30 minute walk away! Thanks to the staff, we’ll definitely be back!

Charged a £83 “balance” on arrival that I had to pay in order to check in, even though I explained that I had paid in full when booking with Hotels.com ! Breakfast served not hot, warm at best! Bar & restaurant staff inexperienced & clearly not bothered. Poor customer service.

Lovely old pub. Comfortable room with everything supplied. Nicely decorated. Not spotlessly clean, but it was dog friendly. Friendly, helpful staff. Great base to come back to after walking. Easy walk into Hawes. Good atmosphere for an enjoyable drink or food. Open fires were lit and so relaxing to sit by. Good breakfast with excellent service. We are already thinking about a return visit.

Shocking

Stayed last August and couldn't wait to go back. Visited again this summer and place has fallen off a cliff. No maintenance has been carried out. Toilet seats falling off, no soaps in rooms. No doors locked and coat pegs falling off. Rooms definitely not cleaned and dare not shower as it was filthy. Food ok but not brilliant for the price. Staff just want you out asap, once you've eaten. Had to go get someone to take breakfast order after 30 minutes of being ignored. Last year owner was there and chatting to him, it seemed like he had the right idea for a great customer experience but was nowhere to be seen this time and appears to have taken his foot off the gas. Whole place unwelcoming poor service and a complete let down. A shame as it is an idealic spot but sadly we will not return again.

Just returned from an idyllic 2 nights at The Green Dragon. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment and it was just lovely. The bed was amazing and I could have sat looking out of the window the whole time I was there. A stunning location that is central to many wonderful places and the most amazing scenery. I can’t wait to return.
