Beautiful apartment, lovely host; will visit again

Beautiful apartment and lovely host. It sits right on a small side-channel of the Havel, looking up at the Cathedral. The building is still being renovated, but the apartment itself was smart, spotless, and stylish. Very well-furnished. My wife in particular loved the bed. I suspect we will visit again, possibly even in the next year. I would not book this through Hotels.com, however. The owner does not market there and had not received our reservation from Hotels. We were lucky that she had space for three of the four nights we'd booked, especially as it was a holiday weekend in Germany. Hotels.com did process the refund for the fourth night very quickly, but it disrupted our plans. Next time I will book directly through their website.
