Great base for Old Havana town

The accommodation was great size, with high ceilings and view of convent. Easy to walk around the city from. (Just have to remember it is Cuba, which is amazing, but has its own challenges). The hosts were so helpful and friendly.

I enjoyed my stay at Casa Al Sol. The owners are a nice couple, very helpful with booking taxies and local restaurant recommendations, and also very used to travellers from wherever the world. The property is safe but like everywhere in Havana old town it is very loud for most part of the night. Since the property is on the higher end of casa particulars in Old Town ( and after travelling around Cuba for 2 weeks) I would suggest some better quality bed linen and perhaps more options for breakfast. Otherwise, all great.

Stay away it is a scam . Filthy.

I am beyond shocked that Hotels.com have even this hotel under their listing. All of those great reviews cannot be true. I couldn’t even stay there. I left, and I went to another hotel. The place was disgusting. It looked like a prison. The room was smelly. The sheet had a weird smell. The sofa has a stain on it. Smelled like urine. the kitchen you will see the pictures and video if I am upload it. . No human should be eating there it was filthy.. The bathroom where you take a shower was filthy. I stayed for an hour and then I had to leave and go to another hotel. Tried to open the closet and the door came off. The walls are stained and looks dirty . I had to go again and read the reviews and I was shocked to see how everyone was happy with this place with 9/10 . That can not even be close to the truth. We need our money back ASAP PLEASE

It all depends on you to make a decision. It is perfectly located but that also has disadvantages. Under my balcony, all human powered taxis (i would say tuk tuk or rik sha if it is appropriate for cuba) gather and play loud music till morning. So sleeping is problem. In addition adjacent room cells transmit noise. Also breakfast has zero protein. Eggs are extra. You should immediately supplement it. The receptionist when is in duty, is extremely well organized and deserves my gratitude. I have no idea about the general hotel situation in havana. Hope this review will help you.

A city gem!

What a wonderful gem in Havana this place is! The rooms themselves are wonderful, but what made the experience was the team working here. They were incredibly hospitable, both before and during our stay, the room was cleaned to perfection, everyone was friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was amazing! Thank you so much for being our home from home during our stay in Cuba!

The property is great. Very comfortable and in the heart of old Havana. Old Havana is safe, but a bit dirty in parts. Some. Streets look clean, others look chaotic.

Amazing host! Very kind, opened, helped a lot in many questions. Very clean room, amazing location. Breakfast is good. We enjoyed our stay a lot. We don't speak spanish, when my daughter had high temperature our host organized taxi to take us to the hospital, was always in touch. Will never forget this hospitality. Thank you very much!
