Very quiet and clean and centrally located to everything we wanted. We were not there all that much but it was very comfortable when it was resting time. Thank you for a making it a great weekend

Relaxing

We were given the wrong door code. A nice man who owned the condo above helped us, and we got Vacasa and the right code and were in in a half hour....after being on the road for 9 hours. Condo was well equipped with everything we needed. View from the balcony of the sound was perfect for relaxing. Very quiet neighbors with the exception of dogs barking early morning. Owners of other units tended to smoke on both the front and back areas, making it difficult to avoid. If you aren't allergic to cigarette smoke, this is a great condo at a reasonable price.

Wonderful place!!

I can't say enough about the Surf & Sound: clean, friendly environment, great parking. Super ideal location with the beach directly across the street--over the dunes and you're there--maybe a 3-5 minute walk and so simple. We went in April and had the beach to ourselves. The condo was great! Easy distance to town, too. Perfect for two adults! The kitchen was awesome, nicely set up, and the living was comfortable, with a great couch and chairs. The balcony overlooks Pamlico Sound and is beautiful--great for morning coffee. Also, the bedroom was great, with a comfortable bed and great shower. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! This is a perfect place to enjoy your vacation in Hatteras!

Great sound views and quiet location. We like to catch or buy seafood to cook aat home. Kitchen was one of the best stocked for cooking that we’ve had in a beach rental even compared to much larger units. For example, a great selection of knives that were actually sharp! Thermal coffee to go containers. Tupperware for leftovers. Everything worked in the unit a felt new. A dehumidifier in case unit was damp. Checkin and out was easy with key code and email instructions

The condo was in the perfect setting on the sound. The views from the back porch were beautiful (well when it isn’t hurricane weather). There were a few housekeeping issues that were communicated to the management company. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to hurricane before they could be corrected. The management company was great to work with.

Great vacation rental!

We loved Surf & Sound! The view out back of the sound was breathtaking and definitely why I booked this rental! It did not disappoint! The house was clean, had everything we needed to cook, which we mostly did versus going out to eat. Food Lion is about 20 min away so stock up on your way to Hatteras, if you’ve never been. The beach was super close, practically right across the parking lot. I could see someone older or with leg problems having difficulty getting over the dunes so they’d probably have to drive down to an accessible part. Our only complaint is that the people staying/living above us were loud at all hours (stomping, dragging stuff, moving furniture?). We live in a condo so we kinda understand. It was tolerable but noticeable, not the fault of this lovely condo whatsoever! We would definitely book this again and will recommend to others!
