Welcome to this charming one-bedroom, one-bathroom oceanfront condo at Durant Station (Unit #103) in Hatteras Island. You will love this home away from home. It's new to the rental market for 2021 and offers an excellent location in Hatteras.

Located in Durant Station, Gnarly Waves is on the first floor which means you're steps away from the large community oceanfront pool and hot tub, and the Atlantic Ocean. Inside the condo, you'll find all the modern luxuries of a beach vacation rental, plus linens and towels provided at your home.

Upon entering Gnarly Waves, you'll find a bedroom with a queen bed and semi-private bathroom. Continue along to enter the living area with a nice flat-panel TV, a well-equipped kitchen area, and ample seating. Included with this property is a stackable washer and dryer on site to optimize the open feel of the space.

Enjoy the ocean breeze from the living area or while you relax on the covered deck. Gnarly Waves has it all!

This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

OBX Trip

Last minute Hatteras get-a-way

Condo was great, nice location right on the beach, beautiful views, easy access to ocean and clean. Didn’t use the hot tub or pool since it was April but they were both clean and looked nice. Everything was as describe would stay again.

Great location, nice condo and facilities

We enjoyed a really nice week here. The condo was comfortable and well equipped with a nice balcony. Pool and hot tub are nice, and an easy walk to quiet beach. We would definitely consider renting again.

A beautiful view

The condo is a perfect size for a few people. The kitchen has everything you need if you choose to cook (except salt and pepper) But view and proximity to the beach was what I was there for. It was so relaxing. My friend had to work a bit and the wifi worked well for her. I would definitely visit again.

Absolutely lovely. However the bed is hard as a rock! Bedroom needs blackout drape!

Will definitely rent here again - hopefully it will be a little warmer! I was not aware that North Carolina is still so cool in March but that’s on me!!

Worst place to stay

I highly advise not to stay at this property. Not only was it dirty and disgusting, but the first 2 nights we couldn’t get to the island due to the weather shutting down travel as it was dangerous and roads washed out. The owner refused to give us a refund for the 2 nights. For cleanliness, the plates had food on them, pet hair was all over the floor, the bedspread looked like it hadn’t been washed. While we were there, a cleaning person punched in their code and just started to come in while we were in the room. Didn’t even knock. Best advice is to stay far from this place.
