With a spacious deck featuring a beautiful Amish‑crafted porch swing and covered dining area, where additional rain coverage beneath the deck provides a shaded, weather‑protected outdoor area. This well-appointed condo includes a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, a cozy living area with a sofa bed, and a comfortable queen bed for restful nights. Stay connected with complimentary internet access and unwind with cable TV after a day of adventure. For those looking to explore, bikes are available for use (adults with drivers license) at your own risk. An air pump station is conveniently located under the unit for those who lower their tires for beach driving/fishing is provided for your convenience instead of driving around for air fill ups. What's nearby: Hatteras village remains the most original of the island's seven villages. Many of the residents still make their livings from the sound and sea. The island's charter fleet to the Gulf Stream and into the Pamlico Sound is headquartered in Hatteras. The island's premier restaurants and fish shops have the first choice of the freshest catch. Beach experience

We loved the location of the cabana. It was right on the beach. We didn’t take a cooler with us because it was so easy to walk back and grab a drink from the fridge. Our issues were small things. The water pressure in the shower was horrible. It was difficult to get the sand off our bodies. It is advertised as being two beds with the pull out bed, but there was only bedding for the queen size bed. We put towels down on the pull out mattress but it was disappointing. So I would recommend taking bedding for the pull out bed if you plan on using it. Our kids are 7&8 and we were comfortable using the private beach without a lifeguard. We walked to get ice cream but recommend stopping at the food lion or walmart before passing through Avon. The smaller local store was limited and expensive. Over all we loved it. Defiantly would rebook. Just maybe not with the kids next time!

Southern Comfort

We enjoyed this cabana for a few reasons. The main one is the rooftop deck! Its a great place to get away and relax while watching kite surfers go by. I would recommend this place for couples seeking a romantic getaway.

Cabana in Hatteras

The Cabana in Hatteras is perfect for a couple or small family to stay close to the beach. We enjoyed our stay and loved the community. Best coffee in the area! The management was super helpful, and answered all our questions quickly. The pool at the club house was very nice and our teens enjoyed too. We loved sitting on the decks especially the top one. If you are looking for a quaint place near the beach this is for you!

Fun (small) family getaway!

We LOVED our visit! This bungalow is on the small side, which was perfect for 3 of us: enough room to sleep and shower, able to cook/prep food, and out to spend our days at the beach! We've stayed at more tourist-centered portions of beach in previous years, and really wanted something more private, and this was perfect. We weren't alone on the beach, but it wasn't crowded at all! The town has non-chain restaurants and seafood suppliers to choose from. There is plenty to do within a day trip both up and down the coast. The top-deck was beautiful and a wonderful way to enjoy coffee in the morning and a drink in the evening. We are definitely planning a return trip!! We had a slight mishap with internet and some sheets, but the local property manager responded immediately and solved the problem.

code to enter would not work..... people in front office could not help as they did not "take care" of the cabin we stayed in... after several attempts at 1-800 # we finally connected and they changed the code to enter.... it was HOT as heck...and being 2 older broads...well this didn't help!!

Awesome experience!

The place was amazing it is bigger than the pictures make it out to be. I wish the stove was updated the stove did have a slight smell when cooking. Overall the place was spotless and in a great location. It was renovated recently and there was great use of space. If you look at the pictures it is not next to a hotel it is next to a condominium which had almost no people so the beach was not crowded. We also liked the smart tv!

Southern Comfort Cabana

Overall experience at the Cabana was great & I would definitely return to this cabana. Our cabana was fully stocked with everything needed for the weekend & clean. Cleaning service did a wonderful job in preparation of our arrival. Thank you Robin! Bathroom is tiny as expected but full fill the purpose. Beach was easily accessible. Communication with property management after hours was terrible. Was on hold for 42 minutes via phone with no live agent and texting option responded an hour later from initial contact. The emergency contact number posted on the office management door I was informed “I would need to contact property management and I have nothing to do with that property” Thanks, Vanessa

So clean !

This property was so clean . We stayed two nights and every time we came back in the home the clean smell never went away . Perfect for our 10 year anniversary get away for just me and my husband. We where also able to get in the property 2 hours early do to it already being ready for us . 10 out 10 would recommend this company and property to anyone !

The cabana is in a fantastic location, literally steps from the beach access. The interior is dated, and could use a deep cleaning. Although there isn't a dishwasher, dishwasher soap packets were provided, but not a scrubber for washing dishes. As a result, I'm not sure when the dishes last had a thorough wash. The small sofa is the perfect size, but has seen better days.
