Stayed here from 1:30AM Saturday 10/11/25 until 7:30AM 10/12/25 for my Dad’s 60th birthday party. Drove 7 hours from Pittsburgh. I reserved this hotel two months in advance. Based on the price and reviews is why I selected this hotel. I stayed here with my family of three. We were super exhausted when we got in. Chris at the front desk was very nice and checked us in promptly. We went to take showers and I discovered a used band aid on the tub. I didn’t notice it until I was in the shower. I took my shower first. None of us had band aids. I called the front desk to report it. He asked me to bring the bad aid down! So they wouldn’t think I was joking. Now it’s about 230 am after us getting settled in. I took it down. Wrapped in tissue. Because I didn’t have gloves. I was told I would receive a discount on my bill. I didn’t. Besides the band aid, the sink faucet was falling all over the place. The carpet in the room is lifting. Overall it was clean.

The Hampton Inn & Suites Hartford-Manchester was a mixed bag. We really liked the location, as it was close to many dining and shopping needs. The parking was good, the property and room were both good. However, the front desk staff was not friendly or welcoming and seemed a bit unprofessional.

Nice staff, dirty property.

The carpets in the hallway were gross, and the carpet in the room was so dirty I didn’t want to walk in bare feet. Staff at the front desk was very friendly.

The property was fine. The rooms are clean, but the shower pressure is very low. Staff is polite but not very competent. We arrived late at night after a long drive, and the front desk clerk programmed our room keycard incorrectly. Finally corrected after 3 return visits to the front desk. Not what a weary traveler wants to experience.

We were on the third floor, which was placarded in several in the hallway, as a “No Smoking” floor. On Thursday night the stench of marijuana was so strong and foul smelling we reported it to the front desk. They responded several other guests had already had similar complaints and that it was being checked on. Friday night was similar, but not as strong as Wednesday. We know pot is legal in Ct. but a No Smoking floor should be the higher standard, NO SMOKING……PERIOD!!!!!! IF YOU WANT TO SMOKE ANYTHING GO OUTSIDE!!!!!!

The room didn’t feel clean the fabric chair had a huge stain on the seating area. The mattress cover had stains of old blood or something dark in color. The carpet was dirty felt it on our feet walking around. The hallway rugs have creases in them like they are not secured to the floor. May be a tripping hazard for an elderly person.
