hotel looks better on paper than in actuality. In room, safe did not work and nobody could fix it on the weekend. Also, the poster bed was nice but it means one can not watch TV from the bed without a post obstructing. Fancy hot breakfast buffet was very limited, all paper goods and did not have a lot of things other breakfast buffets have. Finally, price was $$$ and front desk would not guarantee an early check-in until we physically showed up at the hotel.

The staff was very friendly. The hotel was very warm and inviting. Our room was very clean. The hotel was quiet. The dinner at Seasons was great. The breakfast was good but seating was very limited. My husband and I would definitely go back.

The entire property is dated and tired. Our room smelled intensely of mold and mildew. The carpets and upholstery were dirty and in need of replacement. Paint was chipped or peeling. The bathroom had grunge in the tile and wall seams. The shower curtain rod was rusty. I travel frequently and have stayed at some marginal properties, but this was by far the worst in recent memory.

Our room needed a serious update. The bath ceiling exhaust fan was as loud as a diesel Mack truck. The room was on the first floor & we couldn’t open the two windows, or lock them. There was coffee & tea in the room, but no coffee maker. A door on the tv cabinet, had fallen off. I had to email the hotel the next day to get a copy of our bill. At nearly $400 a night, this is unacceptable. The positive - Seasons restaurant was wonderful and their waitstaff were friendly and very helpful.

Perfect stay

I don’t know why you’d stay anywhere else. For the money this is the most beautiful hotel you could stay in and the breakfast is much better than chain hotel breakfasts. Thoughtful details in decor and beautiful views, bird feeders set up outside the breakfast window, dogwoods outside the room windows, kind staff, literally everything from start to finish made it the best stay I’ve had in a long time!

Awful experience

Extremely disappointed. My room was dated, musty, moldy, and had pet hair all over the floor and couch. Not clean at all! What a scam for the price. It’s clear the hotel rooms haven’t been updated in decades. Awful experience.
