Check in and checking out was not a problem. It was one of the most pleasant refreshing experience, being met with the stunning view and the staff upon entering. However, nothing could have prepared my and I for such rudeness and lack of respect for guest as we ventured past check in. Before going forward, I must say, that Tyrone, our butler was awesome. Had I known that the rest the rest of the staff would have been so horrible, I would have used him more. We started off hungry and decided to get food. It was suggest to go to the food bar, by the pool. We waited what seem to be 2 hrs just to get food. There was only 2 other people there. The waitress was rude and had this attitude like she didn't want us there. We brushed it off. Dinner time came and our butler made us reservation for 6 pm. We arrived and waiting 40 minutes to be seated with the dining room barely full. We were ignored and treated as if were guest who showed up to their house uninvited. It was so bad, the Tyrone came to check in on us around 8:45 pm and we had yet to receive our food. It was past 3 hrs before we received any food. The rudeness continued the following morning at breakfast. I arrived before 10:30 and the lady refused to cook an omelet for me stating "I'm transitioning ". I didn't know what that meant but whatever. I then walk around with my 6 year old daughter seeking a bowl because she wanted cereal. I asked 3 different servers who all decline to assist. The only negative experience was with checking in. The attendant seemed very confused because we were a party of 11 under 4 reservations. In addition my room was not ready until after 6 and they provided me with room key for one room and took my bags to another. I expressed my displeasure to the manager but there was no sort of compensation for my discomfort.

Pros: Amazing hotel, room cleanliness and spacious, food delicious, staff extremely helpful and nice. Cons: Only one real restaurant to pick from outside of the buffet, transportation is costly to get around, hotel is fairly far from the attractions.

Definitely enjoyed our stay and would come back! Hotel was super clean and beautiful. They had activities for the guests to do to keep us entertained everyday. The staff members were very friendly and pleasant. The food was actually good at all 3 restaurants on the resort. Make sure to make a reservation at Castle View restaurant for dinner, food was delicious and our server Julisa was attentive and provided excellent customer service overall. The only downside to our trip which the hotel had no control over was we could not go in the ocean. The tides were high the whole time we were there, but overall great stay!

I love the friendly staff, and how attentive the staff is to your needs.The place is very clean,very beautiful.The rooms are clean and cold,the pools are lovely n relaxing. The food and drinks are out of this world.I took my daughter there from 2nd August til the 3rd, and she love it soon much that she is thinking about spending her birthday at Wyndham Sam Lord Castle between 05 December.And l will be back next year. All l am say Wyndham Sam Lord Castle is the BEST HOTEL IN THE WORLD.

The only thing that comes to mind is the long wait time in the Castle View restaurant for dinner. Overall everything was lovely. Shout out to Vanessa at front desk, N’kobi and Marissa at the Sam lord’s grill restaurant. Tracey at the spa!! You were all amazing.

We stayed for 5 nights. The property itself is nice the room was large and the room was clean for the most part. The cleaners however left dirty coffee cups and champagne glasses in the room for days and we did not get new toilet paper when it was running low. The rooms also smelt like mold and the toilet area smelt like sewage despite being spotless. The rest of the hotel was very dirty. Garbage in corners. Lots of flies landing on the food in the main dining area and no one seemed bothered. The pool areas were filthy all the time including first thing in the morning. I kept stepping in sticky old drinks all day. There are a few excellent members of staff scattered about. Real top class people. But the majority of the staff were very unfriendly and rude, especially the bar staff by the pools. The hotel is also very loud. There were loads of drunk people talking loudly and shouting at times and on our last night, there seemed to be a party in the pool area below our room with people screaming at the top of their lungs at 3:00am with no staff intervening. The spa is amazing with great staff. Don’t think I will be returning unfortunately.
