      A Little Slice of Heaven

This beautiful, comfortable home with lovely views from every window has everything you need for a peaceful and relaxing stay. We were welcomed by our gracious host, Nancy Freeman, who took great care to ensure that we had a wonderful vacation. We experienced some rain but enjoyed the day by visiting Freeport one day and downtown Brunswick another. We enjoyed the incredible food of Maine during our stay including lobster, diver scallops and seafood chowder from Gurnets which is right down the road. The gardens surrounding this home are absolutely enchanting and we found ourselves watching the hummingbirds and numerous butterflies instead of the changing tides. Nancy sent us on our way with potted plants from her garden. If you enjoy listening to the quiet and observing nature up close we happily recommend this home.

        Piece of Heaven

For those who love the quiet, a deck on the water and the natural beauty of Maine, this is the place. Great experience, close to many fine restaurants on Harpswell, and things to do from sailing to shopping. Owner was so attentive to our needs and made us feel at home in her corner of heaven!! THANKS

A tranquil retreat surrounded in nature.

Would I return? Absolutely! I loved sitting on the deck listening to the sound of the tides and ocean birds. I even spotted a bald eagle in the marshes! The gardens on the property were tranquil and magical, I have never seen so many butterflies and hummingbirds! Tucked away in a forest, this house is a retreat from all of the negativity on the news and in the media. Nancy the owner is such a great person! She is very knowledgeable about the area and provided us with good recommendations. I really enjoyed speaking with her and felt that she genuinely cared about our comfort and accommodations. The house was clean and charming. The kitchen contained everything we could possibly need. I would highly recommend this house for people who appreciate nature, photography, writing or are simply soul searching. The house is also close enough to the "outside world" if you are looking for great restaurants, stores and entertainment.

            Little bit of paradise

Quiet and peaceful to the extreme; a lovely garden complete with stepping stones and many little surprises; a comfortable, lovingly decorated home with lots of windows privately situated in the woods next to the inlet. If you are into modern and sleek, this home is not for you. No Wifi and TV reception wasn't great. If you are looking for an amazing retreat to watch wildlife and tides, or just relax, read, or think, this little bit of paradise is perfect.

Secluded, comfortable and eclectic home on a beautiful Maine inlet

We loved our stay! Nancy welcomed us into her family home, telling us stories about the area's history. The house was perfect for our family of four, and we felt right at home from the first day. Quiet mornings in the sun room, watching the water from our deck, checking out the fun garden gnomes... Overall, this is a quiet, relaxed and comfortable place to stay. Nancy is incredibly welcoming and friendly. She is so helpful with suggestions on great beaches to explore, places to eat, and things to see and do. Don't miss the Botanical Gardens in Boothbay!
