Ideal for what we needed. A pleasant rural location on a canal side. Has a bar/ restaurant area. Rooms are good. Staff very helpfull as allowed us to check in earlier to allow us to get to our festival earlier.

Lovely place! Only stayed one night in the hotel(ish) building, but would be nice to have a cabin for a few days. Directions weren't very clear to the room, hence the point loss.

I love this place, it's in such a gorgeous location next to the river. The rooms are good and comfortable, staff very helpful, with a good new bar/restaurant. The only downside for me is that my usual choice of rooms (the only 3 rooms which I can get my bike into, as there's no secure bike parking here), which used to have a nice peaceful view of trees from their private patios, now have a great big trailer installed right in front of the patios. So no privacy, and it's not nice to sit in the patios any more.

Everything was good the only gripe my friend has was the white lite in the ceiling of the room was very annoying but that's clearly why you give eye masks to wear. Apart from that I'd definitely stay again

We chose an inside room, hoping for a dark night, but found out later there was a skylight in the ceiling, which was bright all night long, eye masks were provided. Because the room was windowless there was no airflow, there was a fan on the bedside table, but room was rather hot and stuffy. The beds were just OK. The food at the restaurant was mediocre. Service was great! The grounds were beautiful. Would stay again in a different room.

Room was spacious and clean, good shower, excellent night's sleep as very quiet. Food choice other than the onsite cafe that stops serving at 19.30 is a 0.5m walk to the nearest pub that even though a green king was really excellent as was not your standard green king.

Really nice room. Very clean and and the ease of access to the car park and bar was brilliant. The only downside to this room is the lack of air conditioning available. We stayed during the English heatwave and it was very difficult to keep the room temperature down without leaving the patio sliding door open all night. Other than that, it's a beautiful location.
