Amazing property!

The property was everything advertised and more! A very short walk/drive to Buckroe Beach. The host was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend property for anyone staying in the area!

Christmas 2023

Had a great time at this Buckroe Beach property. It was an excellent accommodation for all who were there for us gather 4 generations under one roof. We played games, cooked, and thoroughly enjoyed each other”s company. Despite a minor glitch, it was better than we anticipated. We will surely be revisiting this property, and the ones nearby, for other family outings.

Absolutely Amazing!!!

There aren’t really words that can express how amazing this stay was. I am a proud Hampton Alum visiting for my daughter’s Hampton graduation ceremony. As soon as we entered this property, it was like walking into heaven. It is beautiful, spacious, clean, modern and stocked with every single thing needed to make out stay and absolute joy. The owner has thought of every need a traveler may need and the home was stocked with everything!! The kitchen was fit for a Queen. We cooked and didn’t eat out once as all utensils, cookware, glassware, coffee maker, even stemless wine glasses were provided. My family and I were comfortable and it made the trip and occasion that more special. I truly cannot say enough about how amazing this property was other than I will need to find more occasions to return to my Home by The Sea just so I may stay here again. Thank you so much Ms. Howard, a truly special property so happy we made the choice to stay at your Buckroe home. Amazing!!! God Bless and we will return!

Perfect Stay

The house was perfect as a last minute thing! The host was very responsive. The house was clean, everything we needed was there. I recommend this spot for anyone who needs a spacious home for a mini vacation. Family and kid friendly definitely a 10/10.

Buckroe Beach - Rehab

This trip was not planned, it was a result of a last-minute health crisis that my husband experienced while attending a family reunion in Williamsburg. That said I had to make plans to join him from New York in a short amount of time under less than ideal conditions. My daughters and I arrived around 3 am very tired and somewhat disoriented. When we entered the home there was an immediate sense of calm and joy. The house was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable, my husband and I are both tall so the king beds were ideal, nice to have the master suite on the 1st floor easy access, and additional privacy. Utilities were above average and loved the washer and dryers. Lynn was responsive and helpful, and I had to extend the stay further. The beach is a very short drive maybe 1 mile or a 10-minute walk. Perfect for someone getting back on their feet. All in all no complaints and pleasant memories. Hoping to return under better circumstances. - Susan Y.

Nice new place!

Rooms are done very nicely. We did have to report a few issues (leaking washer, ants, etc) but all issues were handled quickly. Bedrooms did get warm at night, so you may want a fan. Upstairs couch is down! Just FYI for other down allergic peeps.

Great place

This property was exactly like the pictures! There are three houses right beside each other the driveways are a little small for three vehicles but you can make it work! Was a great place to stay beach is just a short drive down the road with plenty of open spaces to park! Only downfall is that the beach is only open 10am-6pm the cops patrol and will not let you on the beach and the peer is only open after 8pm to fishermen. Other than that it was a great beach and perfect for family’s and small children!

Great trip with family and friends

My husband and our 6 year old son shared this property with our friends and their 2 year old daughter. My dad also drove over in his RV and stayed very close to us. He spent 1 night for a papaw sleepover and there was so much room to spare. Kitchen was fully stocked with plates, cups, and cooling utensils and cookware. Only thing we needed were groceries- which were convenient to find. Fridge has an ice maker and the whole home was very clean! Moments from the beach and great restaurants are near the property as well! We would stay here again for sure if we ever travel back to this area.

Spacious and convenient

We had a wonderful stay here. The house is very spacious. We had 10 people staying here comfortably. The location is great - about a 10 minute walk or a 2 minute drive to the beach. Our family enjoyed staying here!

Beautiful place

The place was very well equipped and I've stayed in many rental homes. Pots and pans were great quality, knives for cooking we're also really nice. Good linens, comfy furniture, good beds. Great multigenerational setting. Grampa and grandma had a quiet spot. I will definitely stay there again. Beach is very close, we drove so we would not have to lug a stroller, but for older kids, teens ... You could walk to the beach. Thanks for hosting us!

Great place for a family beach getaway.

The house appears to be brand new construction and is very nicely appointed inside. Super clean, a great kitchen and very comfortably sleeps 8-10. The beach is very close and makes for a nice walk. Overall great experience!

When people go on vacation and stay in a house, they want to relax, especially in the evenings after being out all day. Have games, reading material, wifi, movies, cable-ready, internet, kitchen supplies, bathroom supplies, clean and spacious. This home had everything you need and some. Close to Hampton convention center and nice work vacation

We were here for my older son’s robotics competition at the convention centers. Both my husband and I were able to work remotely - great wifi - and lots of space for each of us to have our own workspace. Beautiful house and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Stay

We rented the house for three days for a small family get together. My only regret is that our stay was too short. The house is gorgeous and fully equipped with everything you need. Even great outdoor space. We def will be back and look forward to our next stay!

Great vacation rental close to beach

This was our 2nd summer renting this property. The home is beautiful and has all the amenities you need. It is a short walk or drive to the beach. Beach is small as compared to Va Beach which is perfect for a pandemic. Not crowded and able to socially distance yet still be very near the water. Beach is very clean. The boardwalk was open this year. Lots of good eating options in Buckroe and Hampton if you don't want to cook. House comes with an outdoor grill. Excellent rental and location, and the rental agents are very responsive and pleasant.

5-Stars despite...

Home is beautiful! Only downfall to location is that Buckroe Beach closes at 7pm with officials ensuring everyone is out at 8pm. Otherwise, it is great. especially if you do not want to stay in the crazy of Virginia Beach. Buckroe is conveniently centralized so that you are less than an hour drive from all the major attractions of the area. One major issue that was handle swiftly & only ended up being a minor inconvenience & one recommendation. Mowing company hit outside gas meter while mowing causing a gas leak. Property manager/company & gas company handled the situation swiftly. We had to evacuate the home until gas leak sealed & house aired out. The locals were great too! Thank you for a great trip!

Buckroe Beach House

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The propane grill didn't light. I feel like the lawn should've been mowed because there were a lot of flies around the house. Otherwise it was a great spacious accommodation. I would stay there again.

Fabulous Property near Family Friendly Beach

This is without question one of the best VRBO properties at which we have ever stayed. The house is roomy (moreso than the VRBO site pictures would indicate), bright, tastefully and comfortably furnished, extremely well-supplied, and within easy walking distance (maybe 10-15 minutes) of Buckroe Beach and Park. The beach itself is clean, uncrowded (at least the week we were there), and family friendly. It is also adjacent to a nice park and playground. Our grandchildren enjoyed the playground almost as much as they did the beach. The owners were personable, extremely easy to deal with, and kept in touch with us througout the rental process. As I said, they also did a great job of ensuring that our needs were met by supplying the house well, making it clear where things were, providing excellent and plentiful forms of entertainment while in the house, and by clearly noting local expectations, e.g., garbage pick-up day. They also offered recommendations for places to eat and other activities beyond the beach and park. They are extremely accommodating to their guests! Staying here resuled in one of our best VRBO vacations ever -- for many reasons. We would stay at this property again in a heartbeat, and we encourage everyone to consider doing likewise!
