Called Homestead for a good reason lovely B&B set in countryside surrounded by cattle and friendly Alpacas we loved it. Staff very helpful, breakfasts in room tasty and adequate.
Nice b&b close to Hobbiton. Comfortable, quiet, simple check in, with a few staples for breakfast...very convenient. Loved the alpacas in the backyard in the morning

Room clean and tidy. Need more room for preparing snacks and coffee
The room was so cozy and comfortable and we loved that the owner’s animals were so friendly. We were able to pet a cow and some alpacas. He even trained one of them to trade kisses for bread! 10/10 would stay again.

The room lacked privacy. Windows needed to be kept closed because of insects from farm. Difficult to use sink. The room was not a luxury room. Wifi was very weak.

No reception. I assumed my room was the one as my name was on window
Breakfast was a convenient, serve ourselves affair. Only downside was access to the gate required U-Turns at designated turn areas, due to the main road median barriers (obviously nothing the owners can change, but information on the issue before arrival would be useful)
the animals and the outlook plus very easy to arrive and leave .
good instructions on how to get there
quick reply to questions asked
also like wotif rather than abb
Really beauitful place. Beautiful interior and exterior plus you can feed the animals

If you're looking for an adventure & quirky place to stay, this is it! I cantacted the property through the website and WhatsApp for check in details, received no communication as to how to access the room. A gentleman appeared when we pulled into the yard and asscorted us to our room. He didnt show us how to use the keycode lock so we couldnt get back in the room. We left the window open and climbed back in. Which was entertaining but unnecessary. The room needed a very good clean, cobwebs everywhere and mucky curtains. There is a gate to open on the drive and low hanging trees. Iff you fancy an adventure and aren't too fussy, this place is great 😂

Waking up to misty mountains in the distance was a way to start to the day. The animal friends in the yard was a bonus. It’s a cute, quiet place which allows you to relax and enjoy the world around you.
This was a short, two night, stay. Check in was very simple, the room was exactly as described. We loved the homely atmosphere with a beautiful view over farmland. There was everything we needed for an enjoyable stay and most importantly, a very comfortable bed.
It was a relaxing place to stay. The view from the room across the farm land was lovely and it was enjoyable to see the alpacas, sheep and one cow near by.
