Very nice place to stay in Hamburg. Central and close to a lot of city facilities. The breakfast was not that expectational, but worked. You could enjoy the gym and the spa in this hotel. The Stuff specially Mr. Dag was very nice and all of them were very helping and welcoming. I injoyed my stay there.

This hotel is definitely not a 4-star property—more like 2.5 stars. The staff were great and the rooms were clean, but it’s definitely better advertised than it actually is. Also, one floor seemed to be used for long-term housing to immigrants, which made it unclear what type of place it really is.

Fantastic stay, we arrived late with our 3 children after a long journey and the receptionist couldn’t have been more welcoming. Really clean comfortable rooms and particularly liked the addition of coffee and water. Excellent value, would recommend and would stay again.

Have stayed here before as convenient for business office I am visiting, otherwise outside central city area. Had a quiet room at the back overlooking the race course which otherwise is only reason to stay here. Modern business hotel with efficient polite desk staff - pretty much as you would expect in Germany. Clean and comfortable, reasonable breakfast.

The room at NH Hamburg Horner Rennbahn was okay, but we had some problems with the key card. It seems both the card and the door reader are old, so it did not always work properly. The reception staff were kind and helpful, especially "Birol", "Mariam", and the man working the night shift during our stay. Breakfast was okay, but the selection was limited, so I would not really recommend it.

I miss placed my purse which I worried might have been left at a store which was closed. Mr Freitas graciously called the police office to see if it was turned in. He and the hotel staff were most gracious. It did turn up hanging on a chair under my shirt. This was 36 hours after a really rough flight through LHR and two seniors struggling with severe jet lag. We felt everyone was most helpful and the room was absolutely perfect for our needs.

A nice stay this time. I received a good room, as requested. However the service at the front desk could be improved. Maybe it's because they are new or speaking badly English? The staff are very friendly, but working very very slow. Breakfast wasn't as one could expect. Very few options. Only hard boiled eggs and frittata. Not worth spending the money on...

Expect a 3-Star Hotel and It Should Be Okay

As a regular business traveler to Europe, this property feels more like a 3 star hotel than a 4 star. Older, a bit run down hallways, elevators, and rooms. Both elevators broken while I was there, key card magnets were flawed. Had some other issues, and the manager responded well. Overall it was okay, but the 4 star expectation/price didn't match the experience.

Stay away

We only needed a bed for the night and this hotel looked decent for the price. However, it was not. It was so noisy, from the corridor, the rooms above, the street and especially the elevator which was constantly moving even late at night. We struggled sleeping. The rooms are very dated and needs to be updated. The receptionist in the evening was very neutral, not especially welcoming, but the morning staff was very nice. Get the hotel renovated, improve the noise cancelling and it will probably be okay to stay there again, but not as it is now.
