According to price it was just what we expected, a bit run down but no problem for one night. It is close to the central Railway Station, and that was the most important for us. The breakfast was surprisingly good, the bread rolls were of good quality.

My room was very small with wore down nasty thread bare carpet and too much furniture for the space. The bed height was extremely low and uncomfortably. Hotel Hamburg is located in a very questionable area with a lot of seedy people. Location to Central Train station, the continental breakfast and working heat best thing I can say about Hotel Hamburg! Don’t be out on the streets after dark.

A good hotel for a short stay

Hamburg is a good hotel for a short stay, in a very good location. It is only 3 minutes walk from train and bus central stations and 10 minutes walk from shopping area. The room and all the areas of the hotel were clean and the staff friendly. The breakfast was very good. .

No BS, just a bed and a decent breakfast

No nonsense, low price hotel with a central location. Nothing to write home about, yet nothing to complain about either. Breakfast was fine and comparable to what you will get in a slightly more expensive (mid class) hotel. Extra bonus for the luggage room letting us explore Hamburg without our backpacks on check out day.
