There is no baggage service, and the room does not have air conditioning—only a fan is provided for ventilation, which does not meet the conditions mentioned in the listing. Additionally, the breakfast charges vary each time due to my children, which seems inconsistent. Furthermore, any room service requests incur an additional charge of €8, which is unexpected for a hotel that claims to be five-star. Overall, I’m not satisfied with the experience.

We stayed in the Marriot last year for about 10 or 12 days or they were doing the re-Ferb which was manageable noise levels this year we are really shocked to find if you want a bottle of water you had to check out and check in again same if you want to teabags in the room there’s people queueing up for breakfast to steal the teabags from the breakfast room not a good look there is a few security issues when we were there somebody had their bag taken at breakfast time does it open door every morning in the bar area so they can just walk in and walk out there’s no security around after working in hotels for 34 years somebody needs to own this problem because it will just get worse these people talk to each other.

The hotel was lovely throughout, the pool, gym and sauna all great and excellent opening hours. Bar and lobby lovely places to sit. My only issue was there wasn’t any milk in the room for my drink, although the bar kindly gave this. The cost of breakfast was pricey when it is the same cost for adults and children. We therefore did not eat breakfast in the hotel

Everything is the average level for Marriot, but the staff in counter refused to put my Marriot membership in, instead of putting a stranger’s membership number for collecting points. I felt disappointed about this.

We stayed for just a couple of nights to visit our son who lives locally. We had an excellent stay and were especially impressed by the staff in the Piano Bar, Kim and Nick in particular. They were friendly and effecient and made us feel rotally welcome. A definte asset to the hotel.

The Marriott is centrally located, within easy walking distance to the City Hall, the Hamburg Congress Centre where my conference was. It was a nice stroll to the Hauptbahnhof too. The room is lovely and the bed so comfortable. The hotel lobby is elegantly furnished. The buffet breakfast has a good spread. We were there for one week and we enjoyed the breakfast every morning. All the hotel staff were lovely and very helpful.
