If you want a luxury stay in Hamburg, this is the place. Located in the middle of the shopping streets. Wonderful spa, and gym which you have to try. The breakfast was outstanding. Great and very helpful staff. Walking distance to Hauptbanhof, if you travelling by train or the train to the airport. Will for sure return

Don’t stay here during the summer this hotel does not have air-conditioning at all I kept on turning the air conditioner in the room down nothing was happening until an employee told me the next morning that this hotel doesn’t have air-conditioning. Their computer during checkout would break down and we had to wait extra long for them to type in all our information all over again. Three check out their printer wouldn’t work so they couldn’t print out any bill for us. At breakfast everybody was sweating because it was so hot. They blamed the situation on the old building however it is easy to install a retrofit air conditioning to the venting system in a supposed five star hotel

Nachdem es nicht mehr das Hyatt war sondern nun das Conrad wollte ich das Hotel mal ausprobieren. Sehr erfreulich ist, dass das schöne warme rotbraune Holz in der Lobby und auch in den Zimmern noch vorhanden ist. Die Zimmer ist gemütlich und allgemein ist es sehr ruhig und entspannend im Hotel. Nach der zweiten Nacht ist leider eine Familie mit Kindern neben mir eingezogen, die ich (vll. auch besonders verstärkt durch die Verbindungstür) sehr gut wahrgenommen haben. Für mich war das störend. Im Bad stand eine angebrochene Flasche Mundspülung. Ansonsten top sauber und zum wohlfühlen, das geht allerdings trotzdem nicht in so einem Hotel. Das Frühstück bzw. der Service ist stark verbesserungsfähig. Ein, zwei Mitarbeiter waren sehr bemüht. Ich wurde allerdings nur an einem Tag direkt gefragt, was ich trinken möchte. Einmal hatte ich meinen Kaffee erst nach mehrmaligen Nachfragen, nach 30 Minuten. Bei ein bestelltem Spiegelei (beide Seiten durch), war das Eigelb noch flüssig. Generell müsste mehr Aufmerksamkeit da sein, wenn Gäste noch Wünsche haben. Grundsätzlich ist das auch nicht so schlimm, ich finde trotzdem, dass in einem 5 Sterne Hotel mit entsprechenden Preise auch der Service so sein sollte. Die Speisen und Auswahl ist allerdings hervorragend und super lecker. Auf der Terrasse kann man sehr schön sitzen und verweilen.

Wieso gibt es in einem 40 QM DOPPELZimmer nur einen Sessel? Wer plant sowas. Manchmal möchten tatsächlich auch mal zwei Menschen gleichzeitig sitzen. Das Preis-Leistung Verhältnis stimmt an keiner Stelle. De facto ist der Service nicht vorhanden. Genauso wie beispielsweise auch die Sahne im Café, wenn man dort mittags eine heiße Schokolade trinken möchte. Gibt es einfach nicht, viele so viele andere Selbstverständlichkeiten auch. Wie zum Beispiel ein sinnhaftes Lichtkonzept in den Zimmern. Auf diverse Missstände angesprochen, empfehlen die überforderten Mitarbeitenden eine Beschwerde beim Management. Sie wären zu wenig Leute „dass sollen die da oben auch mal wissen“. Wirklich nicht zu empfehlen.
