This hotel was a positive surprise - super clean, the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom big and the windows could be fully opened. We booked it because we took an early train and it is right next to the station. Friendly and fast check in.

Friendly staff, clean but small room.

Good location close to Altona station (for trains to the South I think). Very friendly staff and clean room with plenty of hot water. Only negative was that the room was pretty small and the bed also quite small.

Shower

The only complaint is the space of the shower. Although I know that it is pretty normal for any generic German hotels, I think that they could still do some arrangement, such as relocation of soup bottles, to give a little more freedom for showerers. Anyway, the amount of water and pressure are excellent!

The location is close to the Altona train station, which is very practical. However the hotel rooms are old and have no air conditioning. When I arrived to my room, it seemed like the windows had been closed for days, it was hot and air quality was bad. Opening the windows helped but the noise from the station is there, so I wouldn't recommend to noise and temperature sensitive guests.

I was very disappointed that they had a room directly next to me being completely remodeled starting an 8:15 in the morning the next day, it was super loud. I understand that these hotels need to be worked on, but the front desk person should’ve let me know ahead of time or moved me to, a location where I’m not hearing a hammer at 8:15 in the morning. i expect more from a Best Western

Aufgrund eines Konzertes haben wir uns fürs Best Western entschieden. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Bahnhof Altona. Aufgrund des Vorabcheckins ging an der Rezeption alles super schnell. Als wir dann unsere Zimmertür geöffnet haben dachten wir, wir kommen zur Sauna. Aufgrund der etwas höheren Temperaturen Anfang Juni war das Zimmer so warm, dass selbst lüften nichts gebracht hat. Die Suche nach einer Klimaanlage schlug fehlt. Das Zimmer hat keine. Lediglich einen kleinen Turmventilator der mit der Größe des Zimmers (war echt super. Sogar mit einer kleinen Couch) war etwas überfordert. Dieser lief daher Tag und Nacht. Bad war super (mit "normaler" und Regendusche). Geräusche von draußen hörte man nur bei offenem Fenster. Beim Checkout aus der Sauna hieß es nur: Schönen Tag. Keine Frage ob alles ok war oder sonstiges. Aufgrund der Wärme dort und das fehlen einer Klimaanlage werden wir hier nicht mehr herkommen.
