A descent room for the money but what did they do to make the corridor (bottom floor) smell like boys lockerroom at the gym? Thank God the room was fine. The hotel is also close to an U-bahn station and the train down town is no more than a few stop.

The room was fine, and everything worked. The cleaning was lacking; while the room had fresh sheets and looked clean, there was a spiderweb in the bathroom, and the space behind the curtains was neglected.

We stayed 1 night, the staff absolutely deserves 5 stars. No parking (just 4 spots in front of hostel) so parked on the street which was free and nearby. There was almost nothing as for buying a cold drink. 1 elevator was broke. The hallways are really in need if cleaning and some fresh paint. The breakfast is 12,50 pp but nobody checked and not really appealing, then go to Lidl nextdoor (open from 7 in the morning) and get some fresh frood and a sandwich. No AC (but was offered a fan by the lovely girl in reception. Good thing is : night was quiet , bed was ok and public transport really closeby. For 100€ all together , for me it scores just ok.

When location outside centre is important.

Cheap hotel very close to Metro and far away from city center. A good alternative for our stay. 10 min to ST Pauli only.

Excellent value for money.

For the price, excellent value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. Seemed to be clean and safe place. Close to buses and two Ubahn stations Explaining the price: Nothing to do in area. Hardly any shops near (LIDL as neighbour though). Room was very small. Moving about had to be coordinated between 3 people. 'Matresses' hard as rock Room was in basement with windows facing LIDL carpark so had to keep curtains closed all the time.
