Amazing views of the ocean and the city.. walking distance to Hamamatsu Castle… across street from Music Museum… good food close by.. nice city not as busy as Tokyo. Nice reprieve from the chaos.. only thing that would be nice is if they had a pool… to cool off on such a hot day

Super convenient for rail travellers.

I really like Okura Hotel. It’s super convenient to get to from the station. Has a small mall attached to it and selection of restaurants in close proximity. No real need to go into the centre, unless you want a change of scenery. Frankly speak the hotel is starting to age a little, but it’s still quite grand and the views are exceptional given its size.

Very good property

This hotel is a Favorite of mine, I have stayed here multiple times over the last 20 + years. I get the feeling the hotel is winding down its position with the closure of the very nice high view bar and recently the closure of their excellent 25m exercise pool, the loss of this exercise pool is very very disappointing. Not proper explaintion for closure was given

Nice clean property, but had expected there to be a fitness area and swimming pool due to photos on the listing and on the hotel's website. Unfortunately, the pool and fitness centre have been shut down with no sign of it re-opening in the future. The views from the property were stunning though!

Luxury hotel declines

Okura, built as a high class hotel, is at the stage of decline. Some restaurants are not opened according to schedule. The facilities looks deserted. Very few staff can communicate in English.
