The host sent us the information about the house last minute so it was worrying, and afterwards all the communication was in Korean so it was hard, but the room was clean and everything we needed was there. The futons were really thin, so people who can't sleep on hard ground should be careful. Overall it was serviceable and the house itself is beautiful but don't expect a warm welcome.

駐車場があると施設案内に表記されているが、宿の敷地内に無く、他に現場で案内も見つからなかった。タクシーで狭い路地に入ってしまい、戻ることになった。 チェックインが必要ないのは利用者側も楽なのだが、予約した部屋に荷物を運び入れたが、部屋には鍵が付いていない。電話をすると、「防犯カメラが付いているから良いのだ」と説明されたが、荷物を盗まれたら良くはないだろう。実害は利用者が負うから、問題ないというとこみたいだ。 とはいえ、危険がある町では無いよう感じたので、扉のリングに刺さっていた食事用スプーン１本で、ロックしたような気持ちになって外出した。結果、何事もなかったので、お気楽で、これはこれで楽しめた。 10月でも中庭には蚊が多く、部屋に入り込んできた。 他の宿泊客が10時以降の夜遅くに部屋に戻ってきて、朝の5:30まで中庭で騒がしく話していたので、その大きな声で何度も起きることになった。 夜通し騒ぐのが好きで他の宿泊客の迷惑をかけるのが気にならない人は、問題なく楽しめる宿だろう。床で寝るのに違和感がなければ、薄い布団でも文化経験としてはありだと思う。 色々気になることは多かったが、致命的なトラブルはなかったし、行きたいエリアが徒歩圏だったのはよかったが、総合的には宿代を考えると割高だと思う。 （私は寛容なのだが、神経質な人ならクレームになっているだろう...）

Expérience décevante

Ayant résidé à plusieurs reprises dans des ryokan au Japon, et avec les superbes souvenirs qui s'y rattachent, je me faisais une joie de dormir dans un hanok en Corée, en me disant que ça serait une expérience équivalente. Grosse déception ! Avant même l'arrivée, mon texto demandant comment rejoindre l'hébergement est resté sans réponse. Quand j'ai fini par arriver grâce à l'aide de l'office du tourisme de la gare de Gyeongju, je suis tombé sur une dame qui ne semblait pas vraiment m'attendre, mais m'a finalement fait entrer après un échange téléphonique avec une autre personne (la patronne ?). 1ère surprise: pas de clé aux portes des chambres. Certes on est en Asie, et normalement le risque est très limité mais c'est quand même un peu génant ! 2ème surprise (mauvaise aussi, s'entend): il n'y a pas de lit, pourquoi pas, mais il n'y a même pas l'équivalent d'un tatami ou d'un petit matelas pliable, juste 4 couettes empilées et 2 oreillers: autant dire que la nuit fut un peu rude avec l'impression de dormir à même le parquet. Pas de petit déjeuner non plus (ou bien je me suis levé trop tôt ?). Tout ça pour pratiquement 100 € la nuit. Que retenir de positif ? La maison a du charme bien sûr, et - geste commercial anticipant ce genre de commentaire ? - le 2eme soir une dame (celle avec qui j'avais parlé au téléphone ? Je n'ai pas eu le temps de discuter avec elle) m'a offert une boite de gateaux sans explication.
