"Wow! What can I say?! I had the most amazing time during my stay in Saint Barths at Patrice’s lovely studio apartment! It was the perfect size space for myself and would have been just as perfect for two. The view is INCREDIBLE, the photos don’t do the space justice. The patio is large and lovely to hang out on with your morning coffee and glass of wine on the evening. Comfortable bed, wonderful rainfall shower that I never had an issue with. The small kitchen was perfect for making small meals. The only downside was the pool was being worked on while I was there, however, who needs a pool when you have so many beautiful beaches surrounding you! The location of Patrice’s apartment is absolute perfection, it was so amazing being close to both Gustavia and Saint Jean. Both Patrice and Valerie were amazing and always available if needed. Any needs were met quickly and efficiently. Go stay here, you won’t regret!"

"The staff at Carl Gustav were the best we have ever had. Travelled around the world and never had such amazing service. From the moment of booking to the morning we left the hotel. The staff and concierge were so attantive taking care of all our needs and making every minute seem like an effortless breath of fresh air. We thank Carl Gustav for everything. Hotel room was well appointed and beautiful, area is close to many restaurants and main town. Just immpecable. Will definaltey be back."

"Great little spot above Villa Creole. Nice View overlooking Saint Jean Bay. Quaint, aesthetically pleasing and has everything needed—no extras. As guests we were not allowed access to the washer/dryer but the maid said she would do our laundry. I felt this was too much of a hassle for her. While this is to be a private villa it is one of 3 on the property. Depending on the individuals in the other two a stay could be easily disrupted. We had neighbors that would walk through our space and greet us regularly. They were also noisy at 2 in the morning rapping on the door after having been out presumably galavanting. The property manager told us the other guests were not to be walking into our area or using pool, etc. (as I said, the the property manager was helpful, it was the other guests which were a bit self centered and insensitive) Driving in SBH can be tricky as can parking.. Surprisingly the access road I had feared would be problematic—it is a very busy intersection and at an awkward angle—not once was it a problem! A pleasurable stay it was for us. We hope to stay again."

"I only write reviews for places that I find extraordinary. My hope is that you will all ignore this review totally, and let me alone have Rudy’s place in St. Barth. But that would not be fair to Rudy – so here goes: On-line the apartment is called the Unique Style Loft- but really- it’s Rudy’s place. He has taken care to install top-of-the-line floors/counters/appliances and beautifully done construction. It is a small space, a maximum of three can stay there comfortably-but perfectly appointed. There is real craftmanship at play here—and the space is well used. It is clean. It is efficient. Outside, the patio overlooks Gustavia harbor, and it is stunning. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the patio when we were home. And the view was an excellent reason to stay home! But why stay home when you are three blocks from the famous Shell Beach. Walk on over to Shell Beach with the snorkel gear Rudy provides and WOWSA see the gorgeous fish feet from the shore. It is a little shocking how close you are to these magnificent effervescent little sea creatures of every imaginable color. For that matter, you can walk anywhere you like around the harbor- great restaurants, great shopping-pick your poison! But aside from reasonable priced, beautifully, and thoughtfully constructed apartment, next to a beach teaming with swimming works of art and superior food and shopping—there is genuine kindness from the host. "

"We stayed as a family with 2 children. I hope they were not too noisy. We loved our stay. The house was beautifully decorated, very well organized and very clean, it had everything we needed. We enjoyed watching sunset and boats every evening and our kids loved the cat that walked outside the house. The location was perfect for us, right on the beach! Would definitely come back!!"
