When we were checking out, the clerk asked if everything was okay. I challenged her to literally sleep in room 16 in that bed. It was awful! I swore if I would have flopped into bed- I would have flown my husband out of it. You can have all the pretty things in the room (great water pressure) mini fridge , nice shampoo etc… but the bed…… your stay at a hotel is all about your sleep. Make sure you ask if they upgraded the bed in room 16 before you pay.

Everything was amazing except for the actual sleeping. I was on the first floor, and the back door clanging open and shut every few minutes until past midnight by restaurant staff was extremely loud. I would definitely stay here again but would request a different floor.

Our stay Hotel Vela was great. The check-in process was so easy and straightforward. Beautifully decorated lobby and rooms. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. Centrally located too. Will definitely be staying here again.

Air conditioning was excellent and we had breakfast at the Perk around the corner; It was a sweet little place to sit and visit. The breakfast food at the Perk was good but maybe just a tad spicy for us.

Clean room, (not spotless but very clean). Comfortable bed. Quaint decor and very open rooms. Main door lock is impossible to latch but we managed with a travel lock. Staff was friendly. Shower pressure was outstanding! Nice coffee machine. The shampoo, conditioner and other toiletries were very nice although the mouthwash and lotion were old. Overall a good stay.
