Our stay Hotel Vela was great. The check-in process was so easy and straightforward. Beautifully decorated lobby and rooms. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. Centrally located too. Will definitely be staying here again.

Air conditioning was excellent and we had breakfast at the Perk around the corner; It was a sweet little place to sit and visit. The breakfast food at the Perk was good but maybe just a tad spicy for us.

Clean room, (not spotless but very clean). Comfortable bed. Quaint decor and very open rooms. Main door lock is impossible to latch but we managed with a travel lock. Staff was friendly. Shower pressure was outstanding! Nice coffee machine. The shampoo, conditioner and other toiletries were very nice although the mouthwash and lotion were old. Overall a good stay.

Absolutely loved our stay! The hotel is incredibly swanky—the perfect luxurious escape. Beyond the gorgeous decor, the staff were wonderful and genuinely friendly, making our time here truly enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was a bit loud for our taste, however there were several other dining options available within walking distance. We chose this hotel for its uniqueness and convenient proximity to the train station. We would certainly stay here again.

The Hotel Vela is a unique and terrific boutique hotel, very befitting of the enchanting and warm and welcoming walkable area that is Gulfport on the Sound. It's quite the vibe with its little speakeasy type bar and restaurant, Sirens. It is as its name implies alluring. A great spot for conversation and a great cocktail. A welcoming as the bar is, the staff was simply beaming goblets of hospitality at its finest. Warm, lovely and most gracious hosts indeed. As If that Weren't enough the style and subtle easy wrapped elegance of the walk up to the rooms feels a bit like a rendezvous spot. I simply loved the intrigue of what lay behind the door in room number 7! I can only say that the oversized room was so soothing and inviting, an appeal to my senses. The room opened to me and then cradled me into it's peaceful warm glove, it settled me into the downy of its immersive bed. The level of comfort, the restfulness, the simmering stroke of decadent release of the mattress perfectly outfitted is unforgettable. I can't wait to return to sleep here again. Loved The Vela.

The room was clean and tidy, and I loved the decor, especially how spacious the bathroom was. Although the air conditioning was not initially functioning well, we eventually figured it out, and it worked effectively. However, I wish the room had a window. I love how everything was walking distance.
