My husband, toddler and I were at an event on thanksgiving day in gulf shores and I decided that I wanted to get a good nights rest before making the 8 hour drive home. The concierge that I checked in with was amazingly nice and helpful. The room itself was very nice, clean and spacious. Well, my toddler wanted to watch TV, so I picked up the remote. It didn’t have the cover over the batteries, which made me very angry because we had our 2 year old with us. I expected better from a Hilton. Rather than go downstairs and be a “Karen” making a fuss at the front desk, I chose to keep the remote where my kiddo couldn’t reach it. The next morning, my 2 year old wanted a cup of milk, so he and my husband went downstairs to ask about getting him one. It caused a problem. We didn’t prepay for breakfast, we aren’t big breakfast people, so they didn’t want to just give him a cup of milk. Seriously. Ridiculous. My husband was caught off guard by this and felt embarrassed for trying to get a cup of milk for our kiddo. He was walking away when another employee finally realized the ridiculousness in the situation and got a plastic cup of milk. Then we headed out for a walk on the beach. The safety gate that you pass through to get to the beach was BROKEN. Any child could have just went straight through without supervision. I regret booking our room at this hotel and have no desire to go back there again.

The room was clean but you could tell it was dated. The soap dispenser pulled out of the wall the second day we were there. Over the hotel is nice. the outdoor bar and pool area are very nice and well kept. The lobby is fresh and clean. The staff was friendly and inviting and always very helpful.

The staff were great. The room was average but clean but smelled like dogs. Shower tub needs anti-skid stick on. The worst part was having to return home 2 days early because of sickness n finding out with insurance coverage I bought took an act of congress to get reimbursed. Answer:Always book through the hotel itself. Thank you for letting me vet.

There were room at facility had better, closer beach view. Building I was in was further back from beach, but still beachfront. Nice view but those farther back should be listed as that and cheaper than ones closer to beach
