A charming traditional Galician stone house, located on a spectacular estate with century-old trees (“carballeira”), a chapel, fruit trees, and other typical Galician structures: a dovecote, a hórreo, a palleira... It features an outdoor area with grass and ornamental plants, as well as various spots to relax, a porch with a large table and wooden chairs, a sports court, and a basketball hoop. The interior of the house preserves the traditional architecture of the region. The walls are stone, the ceilings are high with wooden beams, and the floors are made of clay and wood. The layout includes a 30-meter kitchen fully equipped with everything you need; a 50-meter living room with a fireplace, sofas, and armchairs; and a bedroom with a double bed that has a small bathroom. Two double bedrooms. One large bathroom. During the summer season, an additional double bedroom is available in another part of the house, upon prior request.
The property is located in a rural setting surrounded by Atlantic forest and meadows. It is in a small rural village (about 10 houses) called Cercedo, in the center of Galicia and therefore very well connected to any location in this region. Easily accessible from the A6 or the Madrid-La Coruña NVI (1,000 m away). Distances to the main Galician cities: Lugo (34 minutes via the highway), La Coruña (39 minutes via the highway), Santiago de Compostela (1 hour via the N-634, or via the A6 and AP9), Pontevedra and Rías Baixas (1 hour and 30 minutes), Orense (1 hour and 44 minutes). The village of Parga and the town of Guitiriz (less than 2 km away) offer all kinds of services (restaurants, shops, supermarkets, a church, bars...).Activities in the area: Golf, thermal tourism, hiking, local cuisine, cultural tours, festivals and pilgrimages, beaches.In the immediate vicinity (2 km away) are two spa resorts (the Hotel Balneario de Guitiriz, with modern thermal facilities, and the Pardiñas spa); the Balneario de Guitiriz golf club and course; various medicinal hot springs; recreational areas for relaxation or swimming (municipal pools and natural pools in the river); hiking trails; remains of megalithic and Castrexa culture (Mámoas, castros...); civil and religious architecture; traditional markets (“Feiras”) on various days of the month; popular and gastronomic festivals (such as the “Os callos e a cantería” festival or the “A orella e a torta de millo” festival).The Pardiñas folk festival is held in July. About an hour away are the Cantabrian coast and the Atlantic rías (Ribadeo, Las Catedrales Beach, Viveiro, Cape Estaca de Bares, Ortigueira, San Andrés de Teixido, Cedeira, Ferrol, Malpica...), featuring beautiful beaches and cliffs.
