This apartment goes beyond basics. It's the thoughtful details - like the premium towels, laundry powder, the international TV channels and spacious floor spaces that lift the experience. Combined with its unbeatable location in one of Guangzhou's best districts, its provides a seamless and comfortable base for sightseeing. The closest metro is Tiyu Xilu Station which is a few minutes walk, there is a vast underground network of shops nearby and a wide variety of restaurants and breakfast places within 5 mins walk. The apartment is within the Marriot hotel and we were on the top floor L38 which offers an expansive view of Guangzhou. The entry is a door next to the Marriot hotel. To check in, go to floor 27 room 9(need to take elevator to L23 and change elevator to L27). The checkin office is Magnolia.

The room was tired and worn out, but clean. The location is first class - close to Beijing Road and everything you need. The hotel is tricky to find on foot If you enter through the mall, stay on the ground floor and head out the back past the escalator. If you take the metro head to exit D, and take the first left - don't go up the steps to the street. There is an escalator that leads directly to the hotel.

We booked 2 stays at this hotel. On the first stay, the room was reasonable. But on our first night of the 2nd stay, roomm was horrible, the sink between the Hot and Cold water was were swiched in position of opposite of each other, and we were not told. There were dust every where, as if the room has not been used for a while. I complained and was told there was only room left. We were changed to different room next day since we had to stay for another 3 nights. The hotel can only be rated as 3 stat NOT a 4 stats, since there is no any facilities and has only 1 small counter as front desk, has only1 staff per shift, eventhought the staff was nice and helpful in most cases. The hotel should never rated as a 4 stars, in the most is a 3 and half,nevertheless;the location is good.
