Caltrans is running a generator from dusk till dawn powering lights right outside the King Suite window, the room we were in really shouldn’t be available right now due to all of the noise. It would be a nice place otherwise, a bit dated but a beautiful view of the ocean, some other reviews mention the same thing about the generator and nothing has been done to remedy the situation. You can’t have the windows open, it’s crazy loud, and even with the windows closed it’s still a generator humming along all night.

Not pleasant

Overall the room had a comfy vibe but the biggest issues we had were the construction right out side our window that was not made aware to us. The spotlights were pointed right at our window througout the whole night which made it very difficult to sleep. The refrigerator in the room was making constant tapping noises throughout our whole stay. Very dissatisfied from what we had hoped.

So welcoming and great ice machine!

We felt so welcome at check-in and through the stay (love the faux fireplace). Easy walk to great restaurants and the market. The list of recommended restaurants was so nice to have too. It’s also rare to have the ice machine work so great!

The Gualala Country Inn is adorable! We love the ambiance and decir, the ocean views and the obvious care and thought that went into every detail. This was our final time staying there but we have already referred several others who are likely to visit in the future.
