We booked the Orsett Hall as was travelling from Norfolk to visit family over the Xmas period. Very disappointed to find out that we was staying in an Annexe around the back of the hotel and not in the main building and in an Attic. Booked this hotel being a stately hotel and very disappointed to say the least.

Neither my television or my room phone were working. They were sorted out for me then, on my third night I was informed that neither of the restaurants were open at all!!! I had been with relative’s until then, luckily….i should have been told in booking, I was informed that if I’d come the weekend after they would have been open. Not much help when I live well over 200 miles away! I won’t be going back.

The breakfast was delicious and it wasn’t the usual buffett, they seat you down and there is breakfast menu, place the order and they make it fresh which was a wonderful experience. Wonderful staff, very accommodating and nice restaurants. Location was great for access. Gym is on the small side, but adequate facilities. In room AC didn't go below 19 degrees, so room was a warm. However still a great place to stay.

This was our 3rd stay at the Orsett Hall Hotel we have never been disappointed. We booked a couples spa package, that included afternoon tea.massage, and then relaxing in the steam room jacuzzi and pool. Our suite was so nice clean spacious with a four poster bed. We will be coming back for a 4th visit.
