This was the perfect property for a long-weekend getaway with family to visit our 90-year-old aunt. Staying lakeside added just that little “something”. There was a small hiccup with check-in, but Joan was very responsive and it was resolved within minutes. Also, though we didn’t get to take advantage due to a delayed flight, she was willing to accommodate an earlier check-in time for us, and allowed us to stay a bit longer as well, which eased our departure. We were able to take the canoe out on the lake for a lovely morning paddle, and if we’d had one more night we would’ve taken advantage of the firepit too.Having stayed at various bed and breakfasts, the one thing I’ve come to expect that wasn’t there was a “welcome to our cottage” book, binder, or page with details about how to leave the bedding, dishes, etc - but we got along just fine without it, and did our best to leave things in good order.I’d stay here again in a heartbeat, and thoroughly recommend a mid-May visit for lovely just-right weather!
