Mark and Lucy run an excellent small family hotel. Lucy is an excellent chef. Do yourself a favour and book dinner in when making your booking - the food, largely made from local produce, is excellent.

If you're looking for a non-chain accommodation and a local experience, I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is suitable for those looking for a good base point to travel around the area. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Extensive whisky selection at the bar and fairly priced. Would come back again to explore more of the area.

Hotel was great very welcoming food was nice but restaurant gets very busy so would pre book . Breakfast was chosen the night before with a tick menu all was fresh and good. We really enjoyed our stay here and everything was as described. We received a friendly welcome upon arrival and were checked in quickly. Our room was spacious, warm, clean and comfortable. We had a drinknat the well stocked bar before dinner each night and retured for another after eating. The food was simply delicious at both breakfast and dinner with plenty of choices and special requirements catered for. We really hope to return for a further visit at some point.

The hotel was clean and welcoming and the husband and wife team were friendly. It's in a lovely location and within 5 minutes we were deep in Anagach Wood which is a dog walker's paradise! The longest loop is about 2.5 hours but plenty of shorter options. The food and drink at the hotel were also a highlight - compliments to the chef!!
