I love the location and I like to support businesses in northern Minnesota. The room had a lot of beds which was wonderful, two full beds and two single beds. There was water damage in the ceiling, which I think has mold, stains on the carpet and the pop machine was leaking water into the hallway. The staff was very kind and the location is Wonderful. It’s on Lake Superior, in town, walking distance, to restaurants. Our window wouldn’t close fully so it was open a quarter and we had 50 mile an hour ones our final night felt like the gales of December blowing us out to see lol

The breakfast was excellent for continental. Property has huge deferred maintenance. There were dirty tissues and other debris under the bed and the ceiling light didn’t work. The location is excellent. Parking on site.

I was very nervous after reading the reviews but we had a great stay. It's nothing fancy but the staff was great, the room had a beautiful view and it served its purpose. This location alone is worth the price we paid, which you're not going to find cheaper in Grand Marais. I mean, you're next door to World's Greatest Doughnuts! Maybe we just got lucky with our specific room but I think alot of the people in these reviews expected a 5 Star resort and just love to complain, but you get what you pay for! I would stay again!

It has a great location. It is an older building with some need of repair. My room was nice and clean. The staff were friendly. The continental breakfast was satisfactory. I would staying there again.

We have stayed here multiple times over the past 15-20 years. The staff members were helpful and friendly.The Shoreline is an older hotel and has become a bit worn, but it is a good bargain for Grand Marais: comfy bed, quiet, safe, and right on the beautiful shoreline of Lake Superior.

Location was great. The room was not clean. Ceiling in our room was old office style panels with one old fluorescent light bulb working, and water stains. Spider webs in windows. Fan had not been cleaned in sometime.
