The public areas were lovely. Our room was large and comfortable. They could use new linens on the bed but it was comfortable. The only negative was the noisy party next door. Older hotels just don’t have good sound barriers

The hot tub wasn’t working which is one of the reasons why we stayed there and the breakfast was fine. The room was clean and we didn’t hear noice in the hallway so that’s always a bonus.

I stayed at LaQuinta from 12/01/2025 through 12/05/2026, and I’m extremely disappointed to have been charged a smoking fee of $200 despite not smoking inside my room. While I am a smoker, I only smoked outside and followed policy. There was no smoke odor, no ash, no burn marks, and no physical indication of smoking in the room. The hotel stated that a smoke detector alert was the reason, but detectors like these are known to trigger from clothing or other odors — and in many cases across the hotel industry, guests have been able to successfully dispute similar charges when no physical evidence exists. The practice has been widely discussed online, with many customers reporting that these fees are often reversed when challenged due to lack of proof. Because of this, I feel this charge was applied unfairly and without verification beyond an automated sensor reading. LaQuinta, I am requesting a response to this review and a reconsideration of this charge. I would appreciate the opportunity for this to be resolved appropriately, and I strongly encourage management to ensure that claims of smoking are supported by actual evidence before fees are applied to future guests. I look forward to your reply.

Great hotel! Good parking and friendly welcome at check in. Our room was clean and spacious; bed and shower was great. We were right next to the elevator, but we never heard it while sleeping. Breakfast was so well attended! The food itself was par for the course, with the addition of scrambled eggs and prepared omelets, as well as sausage patties. Very impressed and if in Grand Junction will definitely stay here again!

Room excellent, only problem. Tried to check into a little early told I had rm 121 disabled rm, come back in 30 min. No problem, came back another lady was at desk. She said only rm available was rm 421, I said no I don"t think so, I have rm 121 with handicapped features. She hea hawed around a minute and let me go check with who you talked to other lady, came back got my rm 121, did not appreciate tried to give me another room for some reason. Kelly

I'm getting ready to book a room for the next time we stay in Grand Jct. This is by far the best property I've stayed in in Grand Jct for this price point. The hotel was clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly, and we enjoyed breakfast. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is the fitted sheets on both beds had small holes/snags on the sides. But they were clean and the beds were comfortable. This is a great value, and I have a new favorite place to stay when I'm in town.
