We were in Grafenwohr over Christmas to visit my son (stationed there). Communication by the host was excellent and check in instructions were clear and specific. The unit is located close to the base and walking distance from a grocery store. Parking was simple and free. The unit itself was absolutely amazing and the pictures do not do it justice. It was more spacious than I could have hoped for and felt like I was in my old German grandmother's home. The best compliment that I can give is that my soldier son said that while he was there he felt like he was at home. A special thanks to the host who, on Christmas Eve, left a gift basket for us that was enjoyed by our family. The bathroom deserves its own separate review. It is one of the nicest we have ever seen in our many stays. The shower is large and includes a jacuzzi, LED lighting, music, and steam. There is also a separate washer and dryer. The kitchen also deserves a special mention. It is huge and well equipped. We were able to cook several meals and lacked for nothing. The host has been attentive to even the smallest details including converters and charging cables. We didn't need them but it was nice to know they were available. The host also has exceptional taste in design from furniture to art to the very impressive library available to guests. I look forward to staying here again when we return to Grafenwohr.
