The Space:

Tiny Escape Vässingsö by Tiny Away is nestled in a peaceful field just steps from the sea of Onsala, Sweden. Our tiny house is situated on private land, surrounded by open fields, ocean views, forest edges, and grazing farm animals.



It is conveniently located in Halland County, the west coast of Sweden, and 40 kilometres south of Gothenburg. The serene Halland region offers breathtaking sunset views, fresh ocean breezes, and birdwatching spots.



Perfect for outdoor and adventure lovers, the area invites you to enjoy activities such as hiking, birdwatching, and swimming. While staying in our tiny homes, explore nearby attractions like the Onsala Nature Reserve, Onsala Space Observatory, the UNESCO-listed Grimeton Radio Station, and the historic Tjolöholm Castle.



A cozy 252-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and electric-heated shower.



Guest Access:

Guests can access the tiny home and its surrounding areas, except for the land host's private residence and the neighbor's property.



ADVISORY:



- Please do not feed farm animals.

- Ideal for birdwatching due to local wildlife.

- Please expect free-roaming farm animals and pets on our property.



Preorders are available with 24 hrs prior notice:



- Firewood is available for 100 kr per small bag.

- Drinking water is available for 40 kr per 10 liters.

- Paddle boards available for rent at 800 kr for two boards per day.

- Breakfast is available for 150 kr per person for the basic option, and 200 kr for the premium option.

Tiny Escape Vässingsö by Tiny Away is located in Onsala, a scenic 14 km peninsula on Sweden’s west coast facing the Kattegat Sea, just 40 km south of Gothenburg. Our tiny homes offer easy access to Halland County’s natural beauty, charming coastal villages, and rich maritime heritage.



Discover Onsala’s coastal charm with sandy beaches, fishing villages, and scenic seaside spots. Enjoy the local maritime culture and the natural beauty of southern Sweden.



Visit the Onsala Space Observatory, explore the coastal trails of the Onsala Nature Reserve, and enjoy birdwatching. Nearby, don’t miss the UNESCO-listed Grimeton Radio Station, the historic Tjolöholm Castle, and the vibrant city of Gothenburg. You can also stroll through Kungsbacka’s cozy market square for a taste of small-town charm.



Getting Around:

By car:



- To the nearest town (Kungsbacka city center):

- 🚗 Approx. 0.3 hours (20 min), 15 km



By public transport:



- The close ba stop is about 4 km from the house. Take bus 731 from Kungsbacka to Vässingsövägen.

- Taxi services are Taxi Kungsbacka and sometimes Bolt



Other Things to Note:

- Wifi is available.

- Pets are not allowed.

- Tap water is suitable for drinking.

- Charcoal/Gas BBQ grill is available.

- Yoga mat and light dumbbells available for guest use.

- Mobile phone reception has a good signal for all networks.

- Smoking is allowed in the designated area outside the tiny house, away from the grass.

- We would like to advise guests that later check-outs will incur an additional charge.

- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows and doors when leaving.

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
