Nice enough, can tell it used to be a premier inn. The walks are very thin, floors creak a lot, they have refurbished the pub, but the rooms could do with a freshen up. Smart tv was an unexpected bonus. WiFi is fast for streaming Netflix etc. parking was £5 for the night. Overall would stay again if the price was right.

I’ve stayed here quite a few times over the years. The staff are consistently welcoming and friendly. In particular, Harman has always been very helpful, polite and professional during check in and out. Also there’s plenty of parking and the fresh milk vending machine is a great addition!

Room could have done with an easy chair but was good otherwise. Hotel seems to pick its staff for their friendliness and helpfulness. Not a bad one amongst them. Plenty of choice at breakfast though evening meals were limited as awaiting new cooling facilities. Plenty of parking at front and back of hotel. Hotel location ideal for getting into Gloucester. Very pleased overall and would definitely use again.

You can tell the new owners have really invested in the hotel and with work continuing I can only imagine how nice this hotel will ultimately become. The public / entrance areas are extremely clean & welcoming and the front of hour staff could not be more friendly & helpful! The room, whilst slightly dated in terms of furniture was faultless, comfy bed, clean, choice of firm or ultra soft feather pillows (I felt this choice was a nice touch!). The Bar & Restaurant also looked pleasant but did not make use of them so cannot comment further.

I've stayed here many times before for work. The prices have increased, and you now have to pay for parking on arrival. Sadly, the rooms remain tired and the beds aren't terribly comfortable. The staff are nice, but it's the little things that make you feel valued, and with the creeping prices, this hotel is increasingly looking less and less favourable when compared to other properties.

Was not told you have to pay for parking also roo.s were very basic and tatty. Hallways leading to the rooms were more like a youth hostel. Stayed here before and thought it was ok then but this was worse and now with having to pay for parking and unfriendly staff means we wont be coming back again

Staff were welcoming and polite. Check in was a bit odd, as had pre-checked in, but this hasn't been processed at the time, so took a slightly long time, but this all went ok. The room was good for a base if you want to into Gloucester centre with bus stops very close by. The room was very clean and did everything we needed. Bathroom was clean, although a tiny bit of mold around the edges of the large mirror, for us not a problem and an easy clean. The furniture was a bit outdated, but did the job and the bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well. There was parking for cars, although we came by train but there are good transport likes. Overall, a great stay and thank you to the staff at the hotel.
