Another enjoyable stopover.

Quiet, spacious well-furnished room in a country courtyard motel. Full service restaurant on-site served a delicious meal from a large menu. Staff in both reception and restaurant were friendly and helpful. We intend to return.

The shower needs attention – the head sprays like a fire hose, and since the shower isn’t enclosed, water ends up all over the bathroom floor. To make matters worse, only a couple of towels were provided, which wasn’t nearly enough to dry the floor properly.

Nicest motel in town

Second time we have stayed here, off the Main Road, nice King room and great ambience in the bar. It’s obviously hard to find good chefs in regional areas, so won’t be too harsh but our meal was drowned in sauces, not very nice. It’s convenient but I don’t think I’ll eat in the restaurant again.

In winter, check the heating options before unpack

The on-site restaurant is a great attraction, especially on a Glen Innes chilly winter night. We had a delicious dinner with attentive service in very pleasant surroundings, followed by a brisk walk through the courtyard to our room. Restaurant also serves breakfast and “breakfast to go”. Our room, with ensuite bathroom, was adequately furnished and had all the inclusions expected of an Australian motel, including including plates and cutlery as well as a good wifi signal. If it’s a frosty night, like our visit in late July, I do suggest checking working of air-conditioning and electric blankets as soon as you check-in.
