I really enjoyed this hotel. It's located next to Anderston station but walkable in about 10 mins from Glasgow Central or Charing Cross, so handy if there are problems on the Argyll Line. My room was lovely and housekeeping was excellent (unlike certain hotels where you have to beg for housekeeping each day!). I've seen complaints about the mattress hardness but I didn't have a problem and I slept well. The TV was very large and had a range of international channels. I bought a package with breakfast included and the breakfast buffet was above average with a good offer of a full Scottish, including haggis. Only tiny minor complaint was it was instant coffee at breakfast. I'd definitely consider staying here again.

All good except I didn’t like that they don’t have a welcome water bottle in the room. Ordering room service for water carries a £5 charge for a £5 bottle of water. They have done away with the vending machines on each floor. Also having just one chair in a room is not ideal work more than one person ordering room service

The Marriott Glasgow, good stay. Helpful staff. The room itself modern but the bathroom needs a refurb for sure so old fashioned. Dinner was a disappointment as had to eat in bar which was noisy and menu choice not the best. Whereas breakfast seemed to give a good variety, omelettes, cereals, continental a d good Scottish haggis, pancakes and scones. Definitely recommend.

The British breakfast was traditional, fresh and good. There was also haggis (without the sheep stomach) and black pudding, so it could keep a person full until the afternoon. It was a good 4.5 on the breakfast meter. The room service was excellent and everything was clean. The staff at the front desk tried to be helpful, but note that there is no way to plug an HDMI cord into your TV to work from your computer. They have measures to only play 'Marriot TV' and there is no way around it. However, the Bar Staff was truely exceptional, and I can name them, because they became friends in a short period of time. Akshay, Joe, Angus, Harry, Priya... they felt like family, even during the busiest of times. They made my vacation and introduced me to some of the best Scotch I had never tasted before.

Stayed for two nights on a business trip. Was in the hotel at night and for breakfast. Bed was like sleeping on a plank of wood and the room was very noisy. Room was clean but didn’t feel like the standard upheld by The Mariott in their other hotels. Hot breakfast was nice. Overall a disappointing experience.

The Marriott was a very good choice. The British breakfast was very complete with a good variety. The tour buses were nearby, shopping districts and train stations. The city bus station to Edinburgh was a bit of a hike, but it was the best option with buses leaving every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day and quite cheap. The hotel fare was very good and the room was clean and well cared for. Netflix is available if you have an account and a computer to sign in. Convenient stores were close, as was other good dining. On the downside, you cannot plug an HDMI cord into the TV from anything. It won't work due to Marriott programming. On the upside, the bar and hotel staff were EXCEPTIONAL. After a day of touring, I would come home to the 'Brew Bar' and it felt like I was amongst family. Akshay, Priya, Harry and Joe became welcome friends and Angus' recommendations about scotch were a learning experience. The Glasgow is to be recommended, because of them.
