The family that owns it, lives there and they were very helpful. Breakfast was really nice, the kids loved the Albanian donuts. Beautiful room with stone walls. Its walkable to the castle and bazar but it’s steep climb up.

This place is as beautiful as it is historical. It was built around the 13th century and has so much charm and character. It is family-owned and operated and they were all so kind and helpful. The rooms are updated with a/c (very welcome during the July heat) and a beautiful, renovated bathroom. The room was quiet and the bed very comfortable. They also offer a lovely breakfast included with the room. I can’t recommend this place enough. An absolute gem in the heart of Gjirokastër!
