The property is located directly across from the walls of Frederick II’s Norman-Swabian Castle, in the historic center of Gioia del Colle—a destination for international tourism and the birthplace of mozzarella, Primitivo wine, and extra virgin olive oil. La Segreta del Castello is surrounded by streets paved with “La chianca” (stone), historic alleyways, and walls with stone arches. All of this evokes the medieval life under Frederick II as it was lived in Gioia del Colle, in the province of Bari. La Segreta del Castello is located: 200 meters from Piazza Plebiscito, the heart of the town; 200 meters from City Hall; 200 meters from the “Matrice” church; and 200 meters from restaurants, bars, pizzerias, shops, and the main streets of Gioia del Colle. Our property is at the entrance to the historic center; continuing on foot, you’ll find the majestic castle, and just a few steps away is the first stone arch, known as the “Arco Nardulli.” The entire area forms the heart of the historic center.
