Phoned ahead a couple of days beforehand as and for a top floor room at a quiet end of the corridor but unfortunately we got given a middle floor room with a herd of elephants up above us. The room itself though dated was cosy, comfortable and spacious and we have stayed a couple of times before so knew what to expect it’s just a shame the stompers above made so much noise.

Wonderful, friendly overnight stay

Hotel looked a bit daunting from the outside as it was just myself and my daughter staying. But i couldn't have been more wrong. Staff were friendly and gave us all the infomation i needed efficiently. Hotel was spotless. Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was great. all the usual options and with full english, veggie and continental options included as well, and waffles with cream for my daughter. Using local sausages and eggs.. fabulous

This hotel is fine, but is looking a bit dated and could do with a refresh. I found getting to sleep more difficult because I was in a room with one of the exterior floodlights just outside the window, so the room was much lighter than I would have liked. I can't fault the staff - very cheerful and attentive.

They have a small English breakfast and a choice of others. The twin room was large and had a long area for eating snacks and making drinks. The roomy bathroom and the large shower was no messing, just on off and temperature, which stayed constant. The Hunter's chicken was the best I had ever had. Excellent staff, excellent dining, for a three star hotel it is above and beyond.

Signs for parking not great as it looks like a derelict car park on entering until you get round to the hotel. The grinding of the lift could be heard in my room every time it was used, TV was the size of an iPad. The WiFi didn’t work consistently. Shower pressure low. I had to wait 25 minutes for my breakfast. Even then I had to ask. I was told chef was sorting the delivery. The toast had hardly touched the toaster. Plus factor bedding was great. Not an overall great experience.

The shower was dirty. The access from the road was unclear, we drove past twice because we had to drive through what appeared to be a building site to get to the car park. The staff were very efficient and helpful. The breakfast bacon was uneatable.

Just one thing the room had a bad smell coming from the bathroom smelt like drains, spoke to reception they were really helpfull and offered to clean the drain while we went out for dinner.
