The Villa dei Limoni, between sea and mountains

It is a charming house of the second half of the 1800s in typical Sicilian style. Always used as a holiday home for the owners, it has recently been renovated and has a swimming pool and a large lawn with a front garden, surrounded by lemon trees and completely surrounded by greenery. The garden is also equipped with outdoor furniture, a barbecue corner, a ping-pong table for a relaxing break and games for children. The villa is so organized:
on the ground floor a large living-dining room, with two bathrooms, directly overlooks the garden. The space is obtained in a Palmento formerly used for wine production.
Upstairs there are three double bedrooms and two rooms with bunk beds, a single room, three bathrooms with shower, kitchen with stone oven, living room and dining room, terrace with a 360 ° view from Etna to Taormina.

A lovely large villa that needs some TLC

The views are amazing! The fields and Etna in the distance are to die for. The villa is huge (and has a very rustic look) and can easily accommodate 4 families, I lost count of all the bedrooms and bathrooms at this place. The grounds are well kept and are also very spacious. All the things worked as expected, incl. dishwasher and washing machine. Plenty of clean towels and the beds have good firm mattresses which we preferred. Thanks for the shampoo and soaps. The location is central enough for all things Etna, shops and caffes are nearby and supermarkets and restaurants are not too far away. The owners are reachable but the response time can be better, which leads me to the not so good. We lost power in the villa and contacted the owners but didn't get a reply for a few hours which was not very reassuring. I did eventually sort it out by finding the right fuse box and restoring the power, but then it was going off every time we turned the dishwasher or fan or the lights. Good thing it happened on our last night there. What surprised me is the size of the kitchen, for the size of the villa the kitchen is too small. The path (road) to the villa from the main road in S. Leonardello is absolutely shocking, holes everywhere. I know its not the Villa owners fault but be prepared. The last thing is the location is not ideal for good or even average beaches, there are non in the area, the nearest decent beach is in Taormina.

Wunderschönes altes Weingut

Es handelt sich bei dem Objekt um ein großes altes Weingut. Die mit privaten antiken Gegenständen ausgestattete Wohnung befindet sich im Obergeschoss, im Erdgeschoss wurde früher offenbar Wein hergestellt und dieser später zu einem außergewöhnlichen Wohnraum umgestaltet. Über Außentreppen gelangt man zu den oberen Wohnräumen, wo sich auch die Küche befindet. Es gibt mehrere Terrassen unten und oben mit einer tollen Aussicht auf den Ätna und aufs Meer. Der Garten ist wunderschön gepflegt und riesig, der Pool ebenfalls. Es gab auch eine Tischtennisplatte, Federball, Poolspielsachen etc. Wir waren begeistert von dem Anwesen mit seinem morbiden Charme. Die Lage für Ausflüge ist auch super, man ist schnell in Taormina, am Ätna und am Meer. Aber eigentlich wollten wir nur in der Villa bleiben, so gut hat es uns gefallen.
