2/10 – kind staff, but I would never stay here again.
There were some positives. The lady at breakfast was very kind, the man at the pool even let us use the jacuzzi for five minutes after closing, and we could leave our luggage at reception after check-out. The food was good, around 8/10. The beach was clean, although sunbeds cost extra.
The biggest problem is the terrible soundproofing. You hear absolutely everything: toilets flushing, conversations, doors and cleaning. Someone sneezed in the corridor and I could literally say “bless you” from my bed. Early in the morning the housekeeper chatted with guests for several minutes, so sleeping was almost impossible. The soundproofing is so poor that if guests in the next room were having sex, parents would probably have to cover their children’s ears.
The housekeeper also entered our room while we were sleeping without knocking. There was no proper “Do Not Disturb” sign, so there was very little privacy. The balconies are barely separated, so you hear neighbours talking and smell cigarette smoke.
The hotel feels old and dated. There was also a sharp-edged shelf directly above the pillow, which felt unsafe. A bar across the road played music until around 2 a.m.
The air-conditioning was dusty, the coffee was average, I was charged incorrectly for espresso with milk, and later they even tried to charge me for the same coffee again.
Kind staff cannot compensate for a hotel where you cannot sleep or relax. I would not return.
