A good place to stay while in Galway. A quick walk to everywhere. However, because it is in the Latin quarter be ready for it to be loud at night.

It's never a good sign when you go to a hotel and they offer you earplugs bc of the noise. I was thankful to have them but they didn't quite do the trick, which makes sense since ithe room was right above a bar.

Not only did the room feel neglected, it smelled like fish fry when the window was opened as it was right onto the vents from the restaurant below. No air conditioning and felt very dirty. Noisy

Stay at this hotel in Galway. Full stop. If you want to be in the thick of everything, this is your place. The staff were so kind and the room was spacious and clean. This hotel is literally minutes from pretty much everything. We WILL be back!

The hotel is located above a bar that has live music. If you're looking to get a good nights sleep before 2am, I'd recommend staying somewhere else. Good walk to all location and clean/newer rooms.

It’s loud at night just like stated in previous reviews, even on the fourth floor the bar played live music until 1:30 am. Everything else about the hotel is great, if you’re not planning to be up at 1:30 in the am with the music, I consider somewhere else

You’re in the middle of it all at the Residence. Great dining and shopping are right outside your door, and the attached pub is great too. Bring earplugs on a weekend!

Excellent location in heart of pub & touristy shopping district. Note that the hotel is located directly above popular pub M.Fitzgeralds - secure a room on the 4th floor unless you plan to stay out until 1am. The hotel has agreements with 2 car parks - definitely use Hynes which has much wider spots than Spanish Arch but a bit farther walking to hotel. Entrance to hotel is easily missed so watch carefully.

We had a wonderful experience with the bellman at the hotel. He was very personable, and even gave us chocolates for our anniversary celebration. The room was very clean and we loved the decoration. Overall we had a great experience there.
